The Inn Starlight Lake & Restaurant

We went here later in season on fall solstice for our anniversary. Had a few drinks at the bar before bed.

The Inn is older. As expected, will have all the quirks of a 100 year old Inn.

We rented one of the cabins. It was bit chilly at night and the inn keeper told us the cabins are not open during this part of season but let us stay in one anyways. Very grateful for that.

Had a great breakfast in the morning and gave us the energy to travel and explore the area.

The inn is set in a really beautiful spot. At night, it lives up to its name “Starlight”. You can see so many stars! In the morning, the fog from the cold air across the warm lake was spectacular.

Would like to visit again. Thanks for the stay!

I had the pleasure of proposing to my fiancé at The Inn at Starlight. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. From the dinner to the champagne celebration, it was a perfect night. I would highly recommend staying at the inn. It’s a lovely place.

Only a four because the rooms are rustic, but definitely clean! Enjoyed an early morning paddle in one of their kayaks. The restaurant is first rate, we will definitely be back.

Adorable bed and breakfast right on Starlight lake. The staff is so very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were cute and had nice amenities in the bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was excellent. Plus, our waitress was so helpful with my food allergies. I would highly recommend the restaurant!

The Inn at Starlight Lake is magical. Steeped in history, it's preserved all that is special and beautiful about family time. With limited internet and no TV in the room, the little girl I traveled with spent the entire time playing outside at the playground, making new friends, splashing in the lake, learning to kayak, and spending time with us. She and her mom and I spent time lakeside painting watercolors and she frolicked with my dog for hours. This place is a true gem. And the food is excellent! It's an incredible restaurant with top-tier selections. Plus, the idea of sitting down together with your family at a resort for meals, that's what I grew up with and it's a cherished tradition that is celebrated here. The setting is gorgeous, with the lake and trees, the front porch is perfect for relaxing in a rocker, and the entire experience was one we can't wait to replicate when we head back this fall!!! We loved every moment and the family who runs this spectacular place is so warm and caring. Don't miss this experience. It's perfection!

Very Charming Vintage Bed n Breakfast ( house is from the 1900s) has decor from that time to match the vintage house. Bathrooms are newly remodeled, rooms are very cozy. Best part is the view! Right on a lake w 🌄 mountain view! Fun to go boating on the lake! Restaurant also!

The Starlight Inn is a nice step back in time all in a very good way! The Murder Mystery dinner theater was FANTASTIC as was the delicious meal! Staff was SUPER! Will definitely do it again!

Decided to take a ride after church for lunch, after the hour ride through the countryside we arrived at the Inn.
It was like going back in time, friendly greeting, beautiful view of the lake, no noisy crowd. Most customers were just enjoying good conversation. Children sitting with parents talking, playing or reading a book..
NO CELL PHONES ON DISPLAY.
Linch was great, food very good and Elaine made us feel like we were visiting relatives.
Will be back again.

New Sweden BMW Riders stayed there on short notice. We occupied the whole place. We had 24 bikes lined up out front. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms are a bit dated, but the food was great. The location is excellent, great roads all around. The place is a throwback to calmer and more relaxed times. What it lacks in modern amenities, it makes up for in old-school charm.

I wish I lived closer so I could frequent this lovely establishment more often. The atmosphere is elegant and laid back. The food is very tasty and beautifully presented...and they make a delicious Bloody Mary for Sunday brunch too. Our waitress was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable...even about non-food related topics :)
If you are looking to be dazzled by modern conveniences, this is not your place. If you are looking for nostalgia and beautiful natural surroundings, this place is for you. Quite a gem!!!

We love this place. Sari and her family are the best. The rooms are clean and tidy, the food is spectacular, the staff is accommodating and the surroundings are perfect for a getaway. The lake is a must.

Visited again..this time for breakfast with friends. What a great value...meals were delicious and nicely presented. Coffee was hot, bold, and what you NEED for breakfast. This a place to have a ample breakfast to start your day off right.

A delightful place with an owner who interacts with her visitors...good food and a wonderful view make this a place worth visiting again and again.

Starlight is a magical lake in the northern Poconos -- no motorboats, just a wonderful place to swim, canoe or just soak up the lake ambience. We loved the inn, with its old-time atmosphere and the warm family feeling. The beds were comfortable and the food was very good. This is indeed a heritage inn, a reminder of a time more than a century ago when it was a haven for families arriving from the city by train and carriage. It must take a huge amount of effort and money to keep such a national treasure open and I can only hope that they manage to preserve it for future generations. If you want a fancy resort this isn't it but for us it was perfect. Can't wait to return.

Went to Inn at Starlight Lake for Easter Lunch with friends. We all had the prime rib which was excellent! Entire meal of soup, salad, entree and dessert was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was very attentive, and they also have a bar. This Inn was built in 1909 and is charming and delightful. They serve lunch and dinner and we highly recommend. Beautiful spot for a family get-together or any occasion.

Only went for breakfast. Good food. Fresh. Service was good. Waitress will talk to you about anything. Old hotel atmosphere.

Stayed here for two night recently and the owner was kind enough to pick me up in Hancock as on arrival there, found there was no taxis. This was much appreciated (and on my return trip). The hotel has a lot of charm and character and I found the room I was allocated spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Fundamentally this is a great place to take time out of our busy live and to relax and is well suited for it.

I was also pleasantly surprised at the standard of food in the restaurant. I t was very high and at a reasonable price too. The service was second to none to the point where I tipped the staff despite gratuities being included in the final bill.

When we walked through the front door. It was like going to visit one of my relatives. The atmosphere is all about family. I felt like I was home. Sari, her daughter, staff and grandkids cemented that feeling. The food was out of this world good. From what I understand her daughter went to culinary school. Money well spent. If you want family oriented fun. This is the place for you. It is a casual and relaxed atmosphere. Where your kids can be kids. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are no phones or televisions in the rooms. Which I thought was nice. To unconnect from the world and actually spend time with each other. Nobody had their faces in there phones and we all actually talked to each other. If you want luxury anss all the frills. This isn't the place for you. If you want to feel at home and good family times together. Here you can't go wrong. Thank you so much Sari.

Super cozy and quiet. Staff is friendly and food is amazing . Lake makes the place even more perfect . Sit at the deck and watch the stars at night or take a kayak out day. Either way it's a win . Great for couples and those who want to get away from real busy life .

What a beautiful place to stay!! Lots to do for people of all ages, we really appreciated the peace and quiet!! Amazing breakfast! Friendly staff. Very accommodating. We needed to check in outside of their regular hours and they were very kind and helpful in letting us check in. Overall, we loved the inn. No complaints here! Can't wait to go back with the kids! :)
