Dave's Backyard Skewers

This place is amazing! We'd luckily taken a wrong turn and saw the sign for Dave's Backyard Skewers. We had just been tubing nearby at Lou's Tubes on the Delaware River, so we were hungry and this was an ideal spot to get a bite to eat. We ate lamb skewers and French fries both of which were just amazing and LOVED the cucumber salad and the fresh ingredients of the watermelon slushy. It seemed like the Brooklyn hipster food scene just landed in the middle of nowhere. Everything was so tastefully done. It did take a little while to get the food, but it was worth it.

Great spot for a casual and delicious meal after a float or kayak on the nearby Delaware River. Asian fusion flavors throughout the menu impress; from the spicy cucumber salad to the lamb skewers to the 20 spice french fries. Wash it all down with a mango smoothie or a watermelon slush. Perfect backyard chill setting and very nice people / service as well at Dave's! Wish you continued success. We will be back.

Watermelon Slushie is very refreshing. Simple and delicious. Cucumber salad is AMAZING- it is in a spicy dressing with fresh herbs. Worth the stop to get those two things on a hot day. French fries were a surprise - really great spice on them. BF liked the skewers, I'm going to try the tofu skewers when they get them. Cute and spacious yard to eat in.

Loved this little oasis. Highlights were french fries with a sprinkle of delicious asian seasoning and the refreshing watermelon slush. Kind people, beautiful backyard, and a good hot dog, too!

Very cute little backyard spread- a perfect stopping point to grab some Chinese skewered meat with outdoor seating!
