The manager Anthony was outstanding very knowledgeable and guided my boat hunt. Galen was my cook and also took care of my needs at the lodge. My hunt resulted in my 250lb boar which was effortless, everything about the hunt was excellent. The butcher took care of my kill everything was packaged and labeled the next day. Moonshine Ranch is a very accommodating preserve hunt and I recommend using them. They are an honest business for a fare price. They also have a great selection of Russian Boar to choose from.

My son and I just returned home from our hunt with Lou and Anthony of Moonshine Ranch Outfitters. This is a top notch outfit that stresses the importance of the outdoors and the need to get kids involved with hunting and fishing. My son had in his words, “the time of his life.” He harvested an excellent Texas Dall Ram and saw many beautiful and majestic animals. Anthony made sure to give him a great tour of the property after his harvest. He is still grinning from ear to ear and has called everyone he knows to talk about his hunt. The lodge is awesome, the property is beautiful and the attention to detail is superb!! We had an excellent time with excellent people!! We will be back to hunt again real soon. Thanks guys!!

Just got back from Moonshine Ranch and can’t say enough great things about it. My wife joined me and we were 30 minutes from the small town of Honesdale and 45 minutes from Woodlach Spa resort where she spent some time. Location is great. Lou is an awesome guy. Made it simple to book our trip. He goes out of his way to make sure you have a great stay. Anthony is phenomenal. Nicest and most hardworking guy you will meet. He works all year understanding the deers movement so when the season comes he can put you in the best possible position to fill your tag. I went on the 5 day deer hunt and shot a buck on my second morning. He made lunch after morning hunts and Lou had something for dinner cooking when we arrived from the evening hunts. I already booked for Spring Turkey and will book again in the Fall next year when I am there to pick up my mount.

Just got back from another Moonshine Ranch hunt. Once again an amazing trip. Went on their 2 day turkey hunt and also shot a pig while I was there, Lou is a great guy. Was there when I arrived and we hung out all afternoon. The guides are beyond great. Anthony and Will really go out of their way. I consider these guys frtiends and have a deer hunt reserved with Anthony in October and another turkey hunt with Anthony for next year. Looking forward to being back again!

Great place to go for a hunt. I had Bob as a guide he was great, extremely helpful. Lodge was extremely clean, thanks to Mike. Food was plentiful and good. I met some really good hunters, the week was a blast! Plenty of deer activity. Definitely going back.

My son Brian Jr and I just returned from a week long white tail deer hunt the 2nd week of Pa rifle season and We had a great experience. The guides truly worked to make this trip a success and the home cooked meals and attention given to us by the staff was top notch. We plan to return ‘24 or ‘25 to experience Moon Shiners again.

I have been hunting with lou and his various hunting guides for many years!!!! The hunting is always excellent as is the food and accommodations!!!! I could not recommend them any higher and once u hunt here i guarantee you will become a regular!!!!

I recently visited the Moonshine Ranch for my first preserve hunt. The owner, Lou, went above and beyond to make my experience perfect. I bow hunted a painted desert Ram and I couldn’t be happier. I was so pleased with my hunt that the Ram will be the first shoulder mount in my home. The lodging was clean with plenty to do throughout the day. Lou is an exceptional cook who made it feel like I was home with friends. I couldn’t speak more highly about my entire experience at Moonshine Ranch. I recommend this trip to all of my friends and can’t wait to book my next hunt.

Anthony and Lou are super awesome at their jobs and great guys. Food and lodging were above expectations. Wife and I took a Fallow Deer and couldn't be happier with our harvest.

This was my first trip to Moonshine. I’m finishing up a 5-day hunt tomorrow and my experience has been incredible. Lou, Chris, Anthony, and everyone at the ranch are amazing. They offer their expertise, hospitality, and have many stories to share. After just a few days I felt like more like friends/family than a client. Plenty of good properties and wildlife for hunting, and the lodge offers a safe, clean environment with plenty of delicious food. I’ll never forget this experience or the good people. I’d love to bring my son back sometime to share the experience. Thanks again!

I've been hunting with Moonshine Ranch Outfitters for over 3 years now. This is absolutely the best Outfitters I've ever hunted with. We were served with breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was absolutely incredible, the Wild Boar Ragut was out of this world!!

I was just there last week 09/12/2023 and shot an Elk with a score of 422, this animal was incredible. You will not be disappointed with any hunt at Moonshine Ranch, I'd like to thank Lou Lampatell for creating these hunts with the customer in mind.

I want to thank Moonshine Ranch (Lou and his staff) for making one of my husband's dreams come true. He took this trip in hopes of getting a turkey. On his first day he wasn't so lucky. I let him know don't get discouraged just listen to the instructor and try again. Well on the second day he was able to get one. He was so happy that he couldn't wait to tell me. Thank you so much for helping instruct him on how to master this. I am sure he will be back.

Great place to hunt! I had a lot of questions till I booked my hunt. Lou was very attentive to my questions and had answers for what I was asking. The lodge was very clean and the staff made you feel welcomed when you arrived. When checking in the first day the staff checked our licences and made sure we were good to go for what we were hunting for. Bob was extremely helpful to everyone when we arrived. He was another one of the guides. One of the hunters had a major problem with his bow.Bod and Lou went above and beyond to find a shop nearby to help and get parts to get it fixed. I was greeted by Lou upon my arrival at the lodge.Lou has an outstanding staff on site. The guides were top notch! Mine in particular was Anthony. Because of his knowledge of the areas I had a successful hunt. I give Anthony a glowing 5 stars for him. For that reason I'll be booking another hunt there next year. During my week there the weather was very rainy for most of the week. But we still went out and we saw wild life. Met a lot of nice hunters from other areas. Can't forget Chris he was another one of the guides not to mention our cook. He had great meals waiting for us when we came in at night. Thank you all for a very good time at the Moonshine Ranch.

Moonshine Ranch is an amazing stop and a MUST if you haven’t already visited with them! We left feeling like family, truly. The meals were nicely prepared and super delicious! I experienced many “firsts” on my 3 day turkey hunt. Lou and Anthony are experienced and hard working. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. I highly recommend these amazing guides for an all-around great time. There is nothing I would have changed. Wonderful establishment! Great fun to be had! Already planning my next visit in 2 weeks. Just can’t get enough! They provided great service with a real family feel! Thanks guys! For everything!

Celebrated my son’s 9th birthday with a phenomenal boar hunt. Lou was great and the lodge was fantastic. It was an all around wonderful experience. We all already planning our next trip back to the Moonshine Ranch.

Had a great time. Took my son for his first hunt. Got a wild boar. The lodge was comfortable and complete with all we needed. Food was great and plenty of it. Lou ( the owner) and Bob ( the guide) were just great. Helped whenever we needed and got us thru the hunt. Wonderful first time experience

Lou and his staff at The Moonshine Ranch in PA are incredible! The people and their service and the comfortable Lodge are just great. I have hunted a lot of places and with a lot of guides. This place ranks at the TOP OF MY LIST! I shot a Wild Russian Boar that was over 500 lbs. They stalked the boars and we followed and hunted them for hours. But the company of Lou and his Guides made it such a pleasure! I would highly recommend Lou and The Moonshine Ranch to anyone. Unfortunately, I dont have a picture of my Boar on my computer, but she was huge. Thank you, Lou.

Just got back from our 5th trip to the Moonshine Ranch, and as usual, we had a great time. Lou and his capable guides Anthony and Donald will all go out of their way to give you an awesome hunt. No detail is overlooked, and they always put you, the hunter, first. My soon to be 80 year old dad and our buddy Vic are already looking forward to our next trip ! You won’t be disappointed if you book a trip at the moonshine ranch.

From our first email for information, and follow up phone calls with Lou, he was very informative and proffessional. From my arrival until I left it was an awesome experience. My guide was great, the hunt, the lodge, Lou, and the food. I shot my first boar and couldn't be happier with Moonshine Ranch Outfitters.

We had a blast at the camp. Steve the camp guy was awesome! He made sure all our needs were met and the food was delicious. Seen 4 bear and 2 does but just couldn't get into bow range. Even though we didn't get anything, hunting is not always about the kill, it's about getting away and enjoying nature and the serenity it has to offer. Great experience !

I've hunted in a few different camps but this camp is by far the best camp I've ever been too, the camp was loaded with food to eat all day and a bunch of stuff to take in the woods, every night they made dinner and it was great and they always made extra. The house was amazing and very clean and cleaned everyday. they would ask you needed anything from the store and they would go out and get it. If you are looking to see alot of deer and have a great opportunity to get one this is the place to go to. My guide was Anthony and he did everything he could to help me and my dad get a deer and we each got one, after we each shot our deer he came into the woods to gut and drag it out and even took us to have it butchered. Anthony is extremely knowledgeable and really cares for his customers. He's the best guide I've ever had and me and my dad can't wait to go next year and be able to hunt with Anthony as our guide. There was another guide Jessie and he was also a great guide and made sure we had anything we needed and took great care of the camp site. Once again me and my dad are extremely happy and can't wait for next year.
