I would consider this more if a moderate trail to take. The elevation incline and some sections of the path scattered with rocks or streams would make this difficult for some. The views are quite gorgeous at the top and along the way.

We hiked up to Jensen’s ledges and had tons of fun! It’s a direct incline when you start, but very doable. There’s a beautiful waterfall and the ledges offer a great view! We saw great fall foliage early October. There’s some wildlife too, we saw a timber rattlesnake!

Definitely worth the trek up the mountain. May seem like nothing at first but there is a surprise at the end. Was very quiet and relaxing especially with the no cell service soaking in nature how your supposed to. There was some hawks flying by which was such a beautiful sight to see. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothing depending on the season you come.

The first thing to take into consideration along the Bouchouxville Trail is that, even though it is a DEC trail it is on private property. The land owners allow public use, so please respect their land. From the parking area you are met with a moderately steep hike for the first 2/3 of a mile. After that it is an easy stroll along the ridge to the Bouchoux Hill Falls and then on to Jensen's Ledge. When there is enough water flowing the falls are spectacular and the views from the ledges of the Delaware River and across into Pennsylvania are pretty nice too.

Be aware of Timber Rattlesnakes in the area, I did come across one on the trail just before the falls, there are also Garter Snakes as well.

An unexpectedly great trail. Was skeptical about the location but there is a normal trailhead and parking lot at the base. The first section of the trail is fairly steep but after that it levels out at the high point. The waterfall and scenic overlook area is about 1 mile from the parking lot. Keep in mind it is easy to miss and overshoot the scenic areas. The scenic overlook is to the right once you cross the first stream. My group kept walking and missed it on the way out. We ended up going about 2.5 miles further down the trail and decided to turn back and then found the scenic overlook.

The drive down the Dead End to get to the Trailhead is very enjoyable. Awesome homes and views on the way. Plus it feels so hidden because you drive for almost 10 minutes down this tiny gravel road. I would say the hike is moderate for non-hikers. We took 3 small kids (3, 5 and 6) and the two older ones made it up with minor complaint. The littlest had to be carried. The incline continues for a little over a mile before it levels off and you get rewarded with the first of a few incredible views. When you reach the top and there are Warning and No Tresspassing and Fall Hazard signs, youre almost there. Walk past those toward where you hear water. If the waterfall isn’t raging you can cross the water and there are some amazing rock sculptures(?) that are really cool to check out. The view from there is the second best. Continue past there and a little further you will get the best view of the bend in the river and the ranges of mountains in the background. There is a large flat rock for sitting and rehydrating. I recommend going when the fall foliage is at its peak. We didn’t go any further but we were at the top so I imagine we didn’t miss anything. The hike down was much easier, though you have to be careful. You should have boots or at least high top sneakers. The rocks are loose and the leaves made everything slippery so lots of fancy footwork was necessary. When you leave Bouchoux, you can follow signs for the Equinunk General Store which was awesome. We purchased some great local coffee, handmade soaps and locally made ice cream (Butter Pecan. HEAVEN) The store owners were very friendly and kind. The whole area around Bouchoux is quaint and beautiful. We stayed at Bass’ Golf Course Cabins while we were in the area. I rated them too if you’re curious!

Great trail for novice hikers, we wore hiking shoes but didn't use walking poles and completed the hike up to the top. So thankful for the private owners that allow us to get closer to nature!

Moderate walk not to bad. Im not a hiker but too 4 breaks on the way up cuz my calves were screaming. Wear comfortable shoes. Take your time theres loose rocks on the trail. But if you watch were you place your feet you will be fine. Walk down was more painful than up. Toes were in tips if shoes.

A steep, uphill climb of about 30 minutes rewarded us with spectacular views of the Delaware River valley below and a lovely series of waterfalls. Previous reviewers mentioned stone cairns and stone furniture, which we did not find. There were many "Posted" signs beyond the stream at the top of the hike where we found the waterfalls. So we choose not to continue on the trail after the falls for fear of trespassing.

It's a quiet walk, no cell service, we didn't meet anyone in the entire trail on a weekday in April. You won't see the best parts unless you get past some "Danger" "No Tresspassing" posted signs near the top. Remember it's private property. The waterfall is first, to see the mountain top and the rock sculptures, the feeding creek must be crossed.

Excellent hike here! Wish I came a little better prepared. It is definitely treacherous at some points. You will be jumping over rocks/running water (can be slippery) & fallen trees. There are alot of steep inclines but it was a great workout! We made it up to Jensen's Ledges..it was a breathtaking view of the Delaware River. Be cautious though as it is dangerous. I made sure to keep all of the kids I had with me within arms' reach. Also, be aware that cell service is almost non-existent & this area is TECHNICALLY private property so there is alot of "no trespassing" signage. I would rate my overall experience here highly and hope to return again when I'm in the area.

We went up the trail because my son's name is Jenson..it was a challenging but very doable climb for two 65 year old Ohio women! We are so glad we did it to see the beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing your property!!

Beautiful hike! But steep at times - and heed the warnings about Timber Rattlers!!! This was one of three sunning on the rocks at the top, and my partner had her foot in the air, about to step on it, but I spotted it in the nick of time. TAKE YOUR TIME & LOOK CAREFULLY!

You walk uphill with a steep incline for about 15-20 minutes then it evens out a little and you'll hit a fork, go straight following the trail and you'll see a little creek. Walk about 50 feet to the right and you're standing at the top of a waterfall with an incredible view! Best hiking I've seen around. I'd say it's about a 30 minute hike to the waterfall. The whole trail is shaded so you dont really need sunscreen, but I highly recommend bug spray. The trail is a little treacherous at first, but the view is worth it!
