I have nothing but good things to say about whitefish animal hospital! My African grey Lucy had a potential emergency egg binding situation, and I was desperate to find a vet in the valley that would see her as there aren’t many that can/will.
Dr Joanie had experience with birds and took time to help us out of her busy day as we were a walk in. Lucy got X-rays and blood work and we saw it was officially an egg causing her to feel sick. Dr Joanie gave her fluids and calcium shots and came in to give her more of the same the next day on her day off. Lucy ended up passing the egg and I’m very grateful to dr Joanie and staff for saving her! You guys rock

We experienced top-level customer support at this local animal hospital. While on a road trip, our cat fell ill, and luckily, they accommodated us for a next-day appointment. Dr. Thompson was truly amazing, providing a clear and concise assessment of our cat’s condition and expertly answering all of our questions. The office itself was immaculately clean, and the added bonus of complimentary cookies and coffee made the experience even more pleasant. Moreover, the prices and fees were very reasonable. The exceptional service and care they provided are making us consider cutting our road trip short and seriously contemplate moving to Montana!

Wonderful, caring vets and staff. We started coming here a few years ago when we lived in Whitefish. We have since moved and live about 35 minutes away (on a good day), but continue to come here regardless of the extra drive. They always fit us in when we have an emergency, and with 2 senior dogs there will be emergencies. Thank you for taking care of our beloved pets and earning our trust.

I cannot put into words how appreciative my family is of the Whitefish Animal Hospital. 5 years ago we travelled from Canada to have a bilateral TPLO done by Dr. Jim for our dog. Our experience was so incredible that we recently returned to have him perform extensive fracture repair on our cat. The knowledge, skill, and compassion that we’ve experienced is unmatched and for that, my family will be forever grateful!

Short notice new patient appointment that needed to be done before we left town. Dr Leslie and her staff were very compassionate, took their time and made sure our old nervous dog was ok. Since we travel full time and have an older pup we have had to see our fair share of different vets. Dr Leslie had a lot of ortho knowledge and even offered to send the imaging to their radiologist for review. My wife is a nurse and has a hard time finding vets she truly likes but Dr Leslie has been her favorite!

It's hard to just say "Thank you!" to those who care for our Fur-babies, just doesn't seem like enough...!! Betsy and Griff will always be remembered in our family. Thank You! to Dr. Laura Thiel, Steph, Jennifer, Diane, Marje and all the staff at Whitefish Animal Hospital. Our, and our pups (they will always be our puppies) lives are better because of your dedication, caring and honest services!!

Whitefish Animal Hospital is absolutely fantastic. My guinea pig got bumblefoot and had an open sore on one of his paws, and his usual vet was not available. Not all vets will treat exotic animals, so I was really panicking, calling all around the valley, and this clinic fit me in the same day! They let me drop him off before work and called me with updates. They took such good care of him!!! They even pre-measured all his syringes of medication, which was a huge help to me. They called me the day after they saw my guinea pig to check on how he was doing and I appreciate that so much. Definitely professional and compassionate care. Would take my piggy to them again!

Dr. Laura is amazing!! She has taken care of our dogs for 9 years. When our puppy got parvo at 8 weeks, she took excellent care of her, and cared so much for us all as a family. Our dog got better, so thankful.

Our dog tore his CCL (dog equivalent of a human's ACL) and Dr. Thompson and his team performed the TPLO surgery on him. He's back to his old self and bouncing around like he's a 2 year old pup!
My wife and I are extremely grateful for the expert care and compassion that was shown to our Loki. Thank you all so very much!

The staff here really love animals and it shows in the care they give. They are very compassionate, helpful and
gave my fur baby excellent care making sure she was comfortable. They will spoil your pet with lots of of love and a treat. They listened to my concerns with my Gracie and took the time to answer my questions and made suggestions. Highly recommend them they exceeded my expectations. Your fur baby will thank you.🐕❤😺

I highly recommend whitefish animal hospital and will never go anywhere else. I called them with an emergency and they were able to squeeze in my cat right away. We don't know what had happened to him but I am 100% sure they saved his life. He needed to spend a couple of nights and WAH called to give me updates everyday (even when they were closed!) The love and care they provided to Mr. Smee was genuine and exceptional.

Now Mr. Smee is on the road to recovery🛣 ❤❤

I literally can’t say enough good things about Whitefish Animal Hospital! The front desk staff, the vet techs, and the veterinarians are all wonderful! They truly care about our pets and treat them like family. Whenever I’m there with my dog they always take the time to answer all my questions, they never rush the appointment, and they clearly explain solutions or options to any concerns I have. Whitefish is so blessed to have such an amazing vet clinic in town. Thank you Whitefish Animal Hospital for all that you do!!! ❤

We were 2700 miles from home and already checked out of our hotel when we realized we had an emergency with one of our dogs. We called two other vet offices in Kalispell and neither one could see a walk-in emergency but both recommended we call Whitefish Animal Hospital. When I called, they said they could see us as a drop off as soon as we could get there. When we arrived, they had already contacted our home vet office and got our dog's records. After some initial testing, they arranged for a specialized ultrasound the same day to rule out cancer. It was a long day, about 6 hours between drop off and when we checked out. But, we never felt rushed and felt they took their time and were extra understanding we were not from the area and traveling. Best news - cancer not present. And, the total bill was less than we expected for the time and testing we had done. Definitely recommend Whitefish Animal Hospital and will not hesitate to use when we are in the area again, if needed. Thank you!

Our 14 year old Labrador had a terrible accident while we were in Idaho. We watched her overnight and decided she needed vet care. We were heading to Whitefish and found the hospital on line. Dr. Melissa was incredible. We actually thought she wouldn't make the trip back to Texas with us. Dr. Melissa examined her and gave us a diagnosis. She prescribed 2 medications that helped so much and made sure we had enough to get our girl home. She's doing so much better and wish we had a wonderful vet like this at home. I have had pets my whole life and have been to many veterinary clinics over the years. I have to say the staff at Whitefish Animal Hospital are some of the most responsive and compassionate I’ve ever worked with. My 14-year old rescue became sick about 6 months ago. The clinic doctors provided amazing care that extended his life and helped us recognize when our guy’s quality of life had reached the decision making point. We primarily worked with Dr. Melissa who was great and who we could get on the phone for consultation with short notice. We also worked with Dr. Heather and Dr. Laura who were just as great. Dr. Laura ended up coming to our house when it was time to say goodbye. She and her vet tech were great, validated how difficult the experience was for us, and treated our pup as if he was their own. I can’t recommend Whitefish Animal Hospital enough.

Cannot say enough good things about Whitefish Animal Hospital! The veterinarians, technicians, and office staff are all super helpful and super friendly. In particular, I am grateful for the help with diagnosing and treating one of my dogs with an unusual issue. Dr Laura has gone above and beyond to help us out. I so appreciate her knowledge and her caring. Thank you to everyone there!

We recently lost our 17-year old Jack Russell terrier, Buddy. He was cared for by Whitefish Animal Hospital for most of those years. Every person we’ve ever had contact with at WAH through the years (which is many) has been caring and professional. We extend a very special thank you to Dr. Melissa Genovese who was Buddy’s regular vet over the years. She was always calm and gentle with him, which is so important with an active, assertive Jack Russell. She wasn’t on duty his last, very difficult day, but Dr. Laura stepped In with great professional kindness, and made a difficult day bearable. We love you Whitefish Animal Hospital, and we highly recommend you to anyone who is looking for an excellent vet!

We just recently adopted our new pack member Addy, a really sweet Great Pyrenees. She had to get spayed and have a checkup. As with all our other dogs, whitefish animal hospital did a phenomenal job. Highly recommended. Thank you Dr. Melissa, Diane, Lisa and Brooks.

I LOVE this place! I could not recommend this place more. They were absolutely amazing. I have a very difficult cat, he does not do well with being vetted at all. He also doesn’t do well with anesthesia and is barely made it out several times with previous vets. He does better when I’m there but because of Covid, and the close contact with being in an exam room brings, I had to hand my beloved cat over to someone I’ve never met before. I was a nervous wreck about it and actually sat in the car and cried afterwards. Because he is so difficult and I have seen other vets in the past hurt him because of it, and I was really afraid about the anesthesia, I was really stressed the whole time. I talk to the vet at length about it and she assured me that she had a different option for anesthesia and that she would be fine with him. And she was. When he was given back to me he was calmer than he’s ever been when we left a vets office, He had no trouble coming out of the anesthesia. And both times the vet resolved my issue very professionally and very thoroughly. I was very impressed. My particular vet was Dr. Melissa, but I have talked to several other staff there and felt good about every single person. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. They are very good to the animals and they were very patient with me also. I had no idea that they were different types of anesthesia that can be used on cats and that there is one in particular that is much less dangerous than the others. They were professional with me, they got as much information for me as they could forehand, and they were very caring to both me and my cat. I think Dr. Melissa is a cat whisperer ❤❤. I recommend this place 100%
