Clean hotel, kind staff, great pool area. We love this place! Have stayed at many worse places in higher populated areas! This is a true hidden gem!! Breakfast was tasty and sufficient with plenty of options.

Blue Grass Inn was lovely!! When I walked in to see if there were any rooms, I was uncertain if it had even been open to the public...it was completely new! I was greeted by the sweetest young lady named Ashley. She is a true asset to the company.
Everyone I met during my stay was very kind and helpful!
The rooms are beautiful. I wish I had taken pictures. I was exhausted at the time. But the floors were not carpet...huge plus.
The beds were white, which is my favorite...and the indoor pool is everything!! It's a generous size and looked as if no one's ever used it. Gorgeous!
Also connected to Blue Grass, there's a restaurant that you can eat there or take to your room. The food was spectacular. Thank you sweet Michelle.
I give this place 10 stars!
If you're traveling... definitely stay here. The prices are reasonable and you'll be greeted with a smile.

This is a really nice hotel. It’s not fancy, but our room was large and comfortable, everything was cute and clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The pool was great…very large area, good size pool, with a nice shallower area, good size spa, and the pool toys and beach towels were a nice plus.Next door is an excellent restaurant, plus a convenience store/gas station, and car wash.
Highly recommend

Great place to stay. I had zero disappointments. The rooms are clean and appears to be wiped down. Trust me. Has a gas station beside it with everything you need. A restaurant connected to it with good, I mean good food. The hotel has a pool and a jacuzzi. Nice staff. Good parking. Recommended to a T

Great little hotel in the middle of Iowa. Good place to stay if you want to visit the Danish Museum in Elk Horn, IA or the whiskey distillery in Tempelton. The hotel is quiet, reasonably priced and the rooms are clean. We have stayed here a couple of times and will be back.

Smooth check in with Pam and Donna was extremely helpful on the phone prior to booking and again at checkout. 2nd floor room with walk in shower was very clean. A nice new-looking hotel. Even with the restaurant, gas station and truckstop also on the property, it was very quiet during our stay. Seemed like we had the place to ourselves. We even had time alone in the pool area which was very nice. I would stay again.

This place was very clean and the room I had smelled great too. Service was great and the employees were very friendly. I will be staying here every time I'm in the area.

We stayed here at the end of September for a wedding. King room was spacious, clean and smartly furnished. Nice flooring instead of carpet to be stained. Only a shower, who uses a hotel tub??? and it was large and very clean. Staff was very nice and attentive.
This whole complex, hotel and restaurant and convenience store, was sorely needed in this community. It was all very above average and reasonably priced.
I know the ownership is viewed questionably in the community with corporate hog farming, and I prefer free range bacon, at least they INVESTED in the local community providing jobs and needed services. 5 stars for that. I'll be back when we visit family. Thank you.

Audubon is such as small town that I was amazed when my mom told me about this hotel. I had to travel to Audubon for my grandfather's funeral. and we needed several rooms because we had family coming from a handful of different states. The hotel served it's purpose perfectly. The rooms were clean and tidy, as were all the common areas. It was just members of my family at the hotel that particular weekend, and every staff member we met was warm and courteous. We took my little nephew swimming in the pool and used the common room for board games and family bonding after the service. Also, the truck stop across the parking lot (same owner) is clean and well stocked with any snacks and beverages you might need! Blue Grass Inn is definitely where I will stay when I come to this part of the world.

I have been in a ton of hotels across the country the last 3 years and I have yet to see a hotel in a remote location as nice as this place. Comfortable beds, fancy shampoo, with a keurig in my room. But the best part was the concierge BreeAnn! When the remote Internet provider wouldn't connect to my devices in my room so she managed to get them to arrive the next day and fix the system. My work is not done in this town so I will gladly be back at the Bluegrass on my next work trip.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The guy at the front desk was super nice (I think his name was Roger) and the hotel was really clean. I thought it was going to be a dump because there were no cars in the parking lot but maybe it's just because of Covid that the place wasn't packed. If I'm ever back in the area I definitely plan on staying here again.

This place is a haven in the middle of nowhere. Now, it doesn't have some of the amenities you would expect from somewhere like a Holiday Inn express (hot breakfast, workout room, etc) but the place is clean and the rooms are VERY nice. The pictures you see seem professionally taken but they aren't staged. My room looked just like the pictures. There is a fairly new and well kept truck stop across the parking lot too. All in all I would be very happy to stay here again.

Everyone at this hotel was amazing and friendly!! The hotel is spotless, The beds are comfy, and the pool and hot tub are perfect!! We were stranded in Iowa for two days... and at every point the people that worked in this place offered to help in any way they could.. it was amazing.

We have stayed at this location 2 times and have been very pleased. The pricing is right for the qaulity of the rooms , amenities and location. Yes its a bit off the main highway but that is one of the many things that make this place special. The grab and go menu at the truck stop is awesome , swimming pool is clean and the staff in each and every department are very relaxed yet professional. The atmosphere is relaxing so much as we are thinking of relocating our family to this great small town!!

Very clean, calm, soooo comfortable, + all of the staff have legitimately become family. You will never regret staying here. The hotel, the feed mill, the truck wash and Waspy’s are all owned by the same family, so it really is supporting local. 🤍

Lovely and clean hotel with refreshing pool and spa. Friendly staff. I like that the rooms don't have carpet, but have modern laminate floors instead; so much cleaner. A mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig are found in all the rooms. If you want a hot meal, there's a restaurant less than 50 yards away, and a nice truck stop / convenience store equidistant for anything else you might want. A bicycle path to and from town passes by the hotel as well. The town of Audubon is very charming, also. Nice job, Audubon!

For a town of fewer than 2,000 on a good day, I am so proud of my little hometown and its awesome new amenities! One of the biggest is the Blue Grass Inn and Suites on Highway 71 on the south end of town. I forgot to take pics of the room before we had our junk strewn all over, but the rooms and the hotel overall is very nicely appointed. The best part is something I can't show you: How comfortable the bed was! It was literally like floating on a cloud of air, and so were the pillows! We even asked where they got the beds and pillows and were told that some of the owners have gotten the same for their own homes they are so comfortable! The hard flooring (vinyl tiles) was pretty but a little cold and sterile, especially in a colder clime like Iowa (but would work well in AZ; more hotels here should consider it). The room had nice furniture, including a firmly stuffed armchair with silk-look gold upholstery, trash cans in both sink and shower/toilet areas (although one next to desk would have been nice), nightstands one both sides of the bed, and a mini fridge hidden in the nice wooden entertainment center holding the large TV set. There was a neat makeup mirror feature in the sink area; you press a high-tech looking button surrounded by elecric blue, and a bright backlight comes on. The shower had one of those new roller bar things and was double size, with pretty subway tile. It also had user-friendly hammered metal bars for the toilet paper and towels and nice toiletries. The one odd thing was that the lightswitch by the front door also controls the one on the closest bedside table lamp, so it's both or neither, which is not terribly conducive to relaxing, pre-sleep reading. Also, while we immediately got assistance with the light when we called the front desk, we never got maid service during a three-night stay despite having the sign up two days in a row. I love to swim and tried out the pool, which was lovely but some hunter was listening very loudly to a movie on his iPad in the hot tub so I skipped that. The breakfast consisted of in-room Keurig coffee as well as coffee and prepackaged danishes and muffins in a communal breakfast room. This was the most obvious oversight: Why not a voucher to the Feed Mill restaurant across the parking lot in the convenience store building to encourage people to try it out? We did separately at our own expense one night, and it was awesome!
