We were on a trip to Iowa to visit friends and we use to always buy our boots from here so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get another pair from a wonderful small business. The owners are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Very willing to help as well and make you feel welcomed.

THE place to go for your boot needs! I’ve purchased a few pairs of work boots from this store! I always enjoy going here because of the staff and selection! The team members are always inviting and very knowledgeable! I would personally like to shine a spot light on Don! I had a problem with a pair of boots, after speaking with Don he took care of my situation with no hassle! You could tell Don knew his stuff and was very understanding! Thanks again, Thompson shoes! Hands down one best work boot shoe I been in I travel doin construction and I buy boots every where when need. This is the store if u need boots and want good service and u live around here or traveling for work it's a must go and walk out with a good pair boots. My husband and I went here to get him a good pair of Steel toe work boots. The gentleman that helped my husband was very friendly and knowledgeable. Measured his feet and found exactly what he needed! My two children and I were in another section of this clean organized store and a woman came to see if we needed any help as well. We were very impressed!

I wish it was in a nicer location but the inside is very pretty. I went with my boyfriend to get him shoes for a wedding the guy that was there was very helpful with getting us ones that fit and that were nice. My whole family loves going here.

The staff is amazing and so is the selection of shoes and boots.

They're super helpful and take their time making sure you're fitted properly and happy with your shoes and/or boots.

If you can't find a pair of shoes or boots here that fit properly, then they probably don't make them.

If you're looking for metatarsal guards, this is definitely the place to go. Wide selection and reasonably priced too.

I definitely won't be going anywhere else for my boots!

I visited Thompson Shoes in Waterloo during the mid-afternoon on Black Friday Nov. 25th. The store was busy but the saleswoman greeted me and while helping other customers. She came over and asked if I would like to try any shoes on, I wanted to try on a pair of Ecco dress shoes and needed the next size up to try on, but ended buying the original size. . She was very helpful, and efficient. The store offered 20% off that day as well and the shoes ended up being less expensive than any website I could find offering the same exact shoe. Would highly recommend.

Stopped in to get some new tennis shoes. The lady who helped me was super helpful and went above and beyond! She called their store in Waverly and checked if they could order them online for me. They unfortunately didn’t have the specific color I wanted but will definitely be back for future purchases!

Stopped here to get some boots for work. There's a big selection of name brand boots at good prices. There's even a railroad worker section of boots which is new for me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'd suggest anybody go there!
