Always had friendly understanding teachers who care about your learning. Work at your own pace, some people choose to do their entire school year within a month at these types of schools. Perfect for non traditional families

Perfect fit for our needs. Best thing we ever did. No issues with teachers. Wide array of courses. Our only complaint is not the school's fault, especially considering the school is very young and the state government isn't exactly accommodating. Socialization was difficult as we are rural and couldn't get to school events. If we lived in a more populated area and closer to field trip sites, we'd never have left IACA.

The teachers are decent and the lessons are good. Working at your own pace is the best part by far.

I have been very happy with the Academy, there has been some issues but got through them.
Having a student that struggles this was a good choice until now, he had to go back to finish credits and was on track to finish.
I said no to rushing him through with only getting the majors but a teacher Scott Giraud went ahead and went against my no! and even my student told him no! I have no respect for him doing this he just wanted to throw him away, ha already is adopted, what does this show him!
I no longer will give any positive voice for the academy.
So if you have a struggling student just be ware.

This is not a school for students who struggle in regular school. This is for a completely self sufficient, self paced student, who needs no help. And if your student has an IEP, don’t even bother. They have no idea how to handle kids with different learning abilities. Once they started emailing everyone that they had 1000 enrollees, we really started to see a change in the communication with students. There is very little. Parents are expected to be the teachers because it’s impossible to get ahold of teachers. Their schedules are too full and by the child gets an appt to see them, they’re already so far behind. I don’t know how this place is an actual school to be honest.

Very very poor support system when a student needs help with works. Sometimes they 'll call back in couple days and the student ends up having a pile of over due lessons. My daughter only relies on this 1 teacher and when she tried to reach room teacher, she said she doesn't understand because not her subject. If you look for home schooling , make sure you know they have great supports when your children need help. My daughter hated it and cried every single day ... she's in public school now and happy than ever because the supports she gets

Communication is key and severely lacking at this institute. I was part of its first years graduating class and the education was amazing but now I'm trying to receive my transcripts and a diploma copy for college and work and I can't even talk to a real person. It's like no one is ever there! Ever! I've been calling for a month. Two calls back and the office is content to play phone tag like I don't work or have kids.

DO NOT GO TO CONNECTIONS ACADEMY!!!!!!!!!!!
My teacher called and started yelling at my mother and I about how my moms "not doing her job and teaching me" (that makes sense, right.) my mom stands by my side every day and makes sure I do everything right. It is not good for teachers to make assumptions about what students do in their own home.
