Fat T’s Cafe

We were in town for a wedding and hadn’t had lunch so stopped in for a bite. Nathan, co-owner, was wonderful! He explained what beverages he had, talked about the menu and visit with us in the history of the restaurant. Our food was delicious!! Stop in and discover this gem in a small town in Iowa!

We happened upon Fat T's Cafe while in Cresco, and it was a terrific experience. Our server (and the bartender) greeted us warmly and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere of the cafe is cute, warm, and cozy. There were great options on the menu and our orders were ready quickly. Both of our meals were delicious. We will be back.

Offering an all you can eat/ buffet style Taco salad bar for $12 from 11-9 Tuesday through Saturdays makes it a great place to stop for a quick bite! We will try a panani next time we're in town.

Even though they were cleaning up for the night, they still made us weary travelers some amazing food, and we didn't feel rushed. The fried pickle chips were some of the best I've had. And those paninis...So good!

I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries and it was great.. really good food..5 ⭐

They have a rotating sandwich menu, soups and smoothies to try. Along with impact coffee (a house blend) youll only get here! My first time here the owners are super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Everything is reasonablely priced too. I almost forgot to take a picture of the "Fat T Melt" I ordered because it was so good. If you want breakfast, they serve 7am-10am by the way. They do private parties and catering from what I hear too.

Ate there tonight n salad bar was awesome, ribs amazing, n there smoked chicken tasted amazing. Highly recommend n clean!!

Stopped by on a last minute motorcycle ride to MN. Drove down Cresco Main Street and just loved the name! A variety of choices on the menu and Spring Grove Soda Pop! ❤ Nice touch! Our sandwiches were delicious. The atmosphere Clean, fresh and unique. A beautiful original brick wall is the perfect backdrop. (Perfect because we love brick, we own a masonry company. 😉) Try this place!

Went for lunch. One does order and pay at the counter, but food is delivered at your table. I had the turkey and cheese with mango sauce served on toasted sourdough...delicious! Served with kettle chips and a spear of pickle. Very clean environment with a helpful and friendly staff. I'll be going back here soon!

Great sandwiches. Cute little atmosphere. Really good cheese curds coming from a born and raised Wisconsin girl. Highly recommend. We will be back.

I didn't order because we had been traveling for days and I was wanting something more then a sandwich/ home cooked meal. They were friendly. She tried to give me some suggests. The place smells like freshly made bread. My husband ordered a huge toasted sandwich 🥪 w/meat flowing out. He enjoyed it!

I had the Ham and Cheese Panini sandwich. It was very good. Better than a sandwich at Panera. Everyone else had burgers. They were average burgers. I would recommend the Panini sandwiches. Had some games in the back for the kids.

Love the food & choices of food. It's a cute little restaurant. Only place I know of with Mango Mayo on its menu. Yum
