It is a great park on the banks of Wapsipinicon river. I go here all year round and everyday I notice something new, that I did not notice earlier. Also, it's very magnificent how the landscape of park laden with flowers changes the color from blue to pink to white to yellow to orange to fall colors. Specially the river trail, prairie trail and Vista trail look very beautiful in every season. And of course, not to forget the critters, foxes, deer, rabits, squirrels, bald eagles, colorful birds and a lot more. Adding some of the beautiful colored landscapes and flowers photo with this review.

Great place for a family outing and super close to CR/Marion. Whether it is a day trip or just going for a couple hours it is well worth it. The caves are pretty fun... And cool in the heat. Kids have a great time on the upside down bridge getting splashed by vehicles driving through or playing on the little sandbars down stream. The park is very well maintained. Love this place!

Beautiful, well maintained state park!
Hiking, fishing, spelunking, canoeing, golfing, camping or picnicing - whatever you like to do they have it! There are modern restrooms and a playground for the kiddos as well.
We always finish the day with a drive across the creek! A must visit!

Quick “Honey, turn HERE!” drive-by, and so glad we did! Such a hidden gem of diverse landscapes, including caves, hardwood and high timber, bluffs, roadway water crossings, lower valley and riverside roads. Very nice!

There are some really cool caves you can go into, including Horse Thief Cave, which has a huge opening and a beautiful view. There was a small dam in the stream that was beautiful to sit by. I really enjoyed this park. The road we walked on was nicely paved, but included some steep hills. The path I would not take a stroller on, but was great for walking.

A wonderful little park to walk the brook and spend time among the awaking of the trees. Charming little one lane bridges made of limestone from Jones County. Great place to observe rock cliffs and watch hawks soar in the wind among the pines and listen to the running water in the streams.

Great place for a day trip, picnic, hiking, creek splashing. There are a couple caves to explore and great to cool down in during the heat. The campground looks small but lots of shade. The lodge didn't look like it was being used but was right in the campground.

I've lived most of my life within 60 min of this park and had never before been. The Rotary lodge was on a hill with an excellent view. There were many places to stop near the river and trails to walk. I plan to return.
