Excelsior Church

My cousin and I stopped several years ago and took many pictures. I highly recommend stopping.

Was traveling westbound on I-70. And for the first time in a time long time i was thinking about my relationship with the Lord: where i need to improve; what i need to change; how i need to pray much more than i do. The sun was setting as i was wrapping up my time in prayer. And there it was....a cross shining bright, like the Lord was sending me a sign. If it had not been lit, i would have missed it and the lovely church. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace: that the Lord is with us everywhere, just waiting to have a chat and set us back on the parh where we need to be. My sincere thanks to the church folks for lighting the darkness with your faith, and thus delivering me a much needed "God wink "

This little church has alot of history behind it. The lite cross at night can be seen for miles in any direction! I-70, eastbound or westbound at mile marker 213 for the best view at night.

This place hold a very special place in my heart! Many many good memories! If a person is ever passing through its a must see even better if you can attend service! Has anamazing history too!

My family church, that goes way back. As a kid I love going there with my grandparents. A wide open church like no other in this country.

This place is so beautiful. Set out amongst all these giant windmills. Just gorgeous.
