A great place for a rest stop on US50. The museum shows gives a snapshot of early life on the Great Plains. The old steam engine was of intriguing interest to our little guy. Kingsley is located halfway between New York and San Francisco.

We felt this museum was better than the Smithsonian. The sod house was awesome but the displays in the history museum were fantastic. Little small rooms set up with each subject matter and such a complete collection! Make time for this museum, no one will be disappointed.

A beautiful and expansive museum with very friendly folks and a bar collection of trinkets and memorabilia from the days of the wild west, including a sod house that you can walk inside, an old Ford, several shotguns and rifles from days past as well as jewelry, clothing and other fashion items from the 1800s. This is a museum that relies on donations and county funding, and would very much appreciate your visit.

This museum has an unbelievable amount of treasures from the past. It's free, has A/C, and is Amazing. Great stop to stretch the legs out on your trek across Kansas.

Never had time to enter museum, but I sure appreciate the restroom that is on the property. I am also fascinated with the church next to the museum. The plaque on the church gives a bit of history about the church building itself and gives the names and date of the first couple to be married there. I always wonder if their marriage lasted and if they are still alive.

Very nice wayside next to the museum. Grass with plenty of shade, covered picnic tables, good restrooms, and easy in and out parking even with our trailer. Really grateful to those who provide the service!

Didn't see inside yet but the locomotive is awesome! You can go inside. The play equipment is nice to stretch your legs. They have bathrooms also.

Great small park next to the museum. There are public restrooms by the park. The park has 2 picnic tables that are under a covered structure. Perfect for a quick stop while driving through.

It's a really cool Roadside Attraction and a great place to just get out the stretch for a while if you're on a long drive.

Lots of amazing Kansas history! I always wondered what a sod house looked like and it was neat to see one in person.
