Cancun Mexican Grill Ellis Ks

I stopped here on my way back to Pennsylvania. Excellent food and service for a restaurant off the highway. Check it out if you like Mexican food! Margarita Sampler Is 5 Star.

Salsa was some of the best I've had. Good amount of heat, not bland but not too hot and a great flavor. Had the Ellis burrito with jalapenos added. Food came out fast and hot. Would definitely recommend.

You absolutely must make a stop at this Mexican restaurant for some truly exceptional food on your journey. Missing out on this place would be a big mistake. I was thoroughly satisfied with both the delicious food and excellent service they provided. And the price was reasonable.

Stopped to get gas and saw the reviews for this place. Awesome food and right off of route 70. Friendly staff and an outside patio where I ate with my dog. I’ll be stopping here more often. I had the steak fajitas. Delicious! Dog aporoved.

I travel all over the USA, and I was on Interstate 70 in Kansas. I stopped by at ELLIS restaurant to eat some Mexican cuisine. I ordered the Cancun special and loved the food. The ambient in this restaurant is AMAZING! As soon as you step in, you literally enter a different nation. You feel as if you are in Cancun, Mexico. The place feels like a vacation. I recommend this red to all that are looking for hood Mexican food. Trust me it’s a Vibe inside.

A must STOP @ Cancun mexican restaurant next to Love’s. Park truck across street & a short walk. Steak fajita chimi is EXCELLENT! Double beans no rice. Guacamole, house red salsa & salsa verde are off the chart delicious. In my top 3 Mexican restaurants coast to coast! Great service & reasonably priced!

This food is delicious 😋 😍. Best chips and salsa I've ever had. The chips were freshly made with a interesting combination of fluffy and crunchy. I had the chorizo Pollo so good 👍 white queso on it. You can't go wrong!!!!!

Excellent grill to stop by, they don't allowe trucks into the street but you can park at the Loves and walk for 2 minutes.
Food is just delicious, as delicious as it gets. You gotta try it. Original Mexican food.

Friendly staff, relax atmosphere and quick Service. I was so full, I got up and left my phone behind and they quickly catch with me outside. Now that's money well spent. Check it out folks. No wall needed. Caramba

This is an amazing Mexican food restaurant, located off the Ellis exit on I – 70. I took this exit to get gas and noticed this restaurant was only the food located off the exit. I was very curious seeing a Mexican restaurant in a very austere location, so I tried it. Every part of the meal was incredible, starting with the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were fresh and extremely flavorful. I rarely eat all the chips and salsa when I am dining solo, but they were so good I ate the entire basket throughout the meal. I ordered the Cancun special, which are basically kicked-up fajitas with steak, chorizo, chicken shrimp and sautéed vegetables. The entrée had exceptional flavor and the tortillas were freshly made. The side dishes which included rice, beans and guacamole salad were phenomenal. This meal was truly exceptional, there was not any portion of the meal that did nit have a ton of flavor. The portions were very large. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Mexican food, also the service was fantastic.

Just a trucker passing through. Finding good food near somewhere to park a truck is not always easy, so I had to go give it a try and I will be back next time I come through. Great food and a big menu to choose from!

Chips were hot and fresh, always a great start to a meal!! The salsa that comes with chips is so good and has a black pepper taste that is unique and delicious!! The Ellis burrito is listed as a popular item and I highly recommend it.

Seriously one of the best mexican restaurants that I have ever been to. Ordered the "Chile con carne" dinner. Nana, I'm sorry, but it might be better than my grandma's Chile con carne. It was delicious. Great and polite staff. Full bar. Clean. Thank you Cancun.

It got better the closer I got to the bottom!!!!!! All the juices😍. Fajitas Hawaiianas! Yes I ate it all😲.

Tried to think of a reason to only give it 4 stars and came up blank. Good food, good service huge portions and very reasonably priced. Had the Fajitas Parrillada it was excellent and the pineapple in the Pastor is something that most restaurants forgo, but it really sets it off.

I absolutely love this place!! Every time we stop through the food is always top notch!! Everything is decently priced too!!

The staff are always very friendly and they stay on top of everything. They did say they were adding some classic Mexican dishes to the menu so I cant wait to come back and try those!

Delicious traditional Mexican food directly off I-70 in the heart of Kansas… who would have thought it possible. Steak fajitas and combo enchiladas were reasonably priced and excellent for road tripping. Do not indulge in nearby fast food when a home cooked meal is feet away.

Some of the best Mexican food I have had . Loved the chips and salsa . The salsa had some kick to it. The pollo bandido is a solid choice . All of the food was fresh and the service was great .

If you are driving by on I 70 or stopping for the night at the truck stop I HIGHLY reccomend you try the Cancun. The service was fast and friendly, the place was clean and had an authentic mexican feel including music. Our meals came quickly and tasted wonderful. The portions and price were amazing.
