I'm a dork for this stuff. I'm also Slovak so I loved it! It's not that far off the highway & it's off the street. Lots of places to park, even if u drive a semi, & a cute little town. Nothing was open when I went because I think it was late in the day on the weekend but I always recommend shopping small & helping communities. It's in such a pretty setting!

I'm so glad we decided to stop here. Our boy was so excited to see the Czech eggs. My wife and I loved them to . The history and buildings that were abandoned are all so cool. We would love to go into any of the empty buildings . Thanks for the friendly people in town too. They were a big help.

I stopped in this little town to get some gas and stretch my legs for a bit on our way to Denver Colorado and it’s just the cutest little town filled with kind friendly people. There are 8 or so eggs sculptures scattered through this town and I hope one day I can stop back through and find them all.

This was the BEST of the largest objects I have seen all year and I've been on the road visiting hundreds of sights.

This is so gorgeous! The detail, design and sheer size tops the list of my all time favorite 'EST' attractions. That night I felt like nothing else could top this.

Czech migrants moved to Wilson, Kansas and the egg is a symbol of their culture in this small town.

There is also a donation container.

What a great showcase for a community with Czechoslovakian heritage! The egg is truly a wonder because of its size, and it's certainly appreciated due to the deep connection to Easter and the European traditions focused around that season. It's a true colossal marvel! Stop by and Czech (yes, a poor pun) it out!!

Pleasant quick stop. Love the unique little town scenery. You can pull off the highway & see the Egg in just a matter of moments. It is FREE :) During our visit we were the only ones around it. No advertising or Tourist trap feeling. Highly Recommended!

Very pretty artwork on the egg. The historical signage and placards give a lot of background into Wilson and the Czech immigrants that settled the area back in the 1800s. This is worth the detour of your heading to Lake Wilson or just heading across country!

Went off the beaten past and was pleasantly surprised. There are eggs all through the town. They are all impressive.

We visited the largest czeck egg which is a tourist stop just inside of wilson kansas. This twenty foot egg is constructed of fiberglass and painted with a matte black color. All the designs of the czech egg and information about the czech republic can be found on the information board nearby.

Next Easter all my Easter eggs are going to be inspired by this one! It's beautiful. I love the colors and the symbolism in every little detail. Who knew that so much went into a giant egg?! I mean besides the Czechs....

What a fascinating site to see! I recommend making the time to stop by and check it out. It’s really impressive, honestly, and was one of the most memorable stops on our 9 hour drive.

This egg is really cracked! I had to come out of my shell and leave the main road to get there, and my brain scrambled when I saw the size of it! Luckily it was a sunny-side-up kind of day, so I was able to poach some great pictures! No longer free-range, the egg now lives in a very nice gazebo. If you're not too fried from your journey, get to Wilson, Kansas and Czech this egg out, it's over-easy!

We were traveling across the country from Seattle to South Carolina and we really wanted to stop at an attraction along the road and this was the perfect one! Definitely recommend 💯! It gives you a chance to stretch your legs and get some insight on a small Kansas town culture.

How do your know if you're in Kansas. This place is just few miles from I-70. If you're doing road trip and you're at I-70, just few minutes away, it's worth it for a few minutes of detour. Worth to visit and some few history. How did they build it? It's a perfect egg shape. Anyways, see for your self. We're on a road trip and look for places in Kansas or what I called some hidden gem in Kansas.

My partner thought I was yolking about this stop and tried eggnoring me, but we scrambled to get out here and it was eggsactly what it was cracked up to be! I was able to poach a few eggcellent pics.
(Sorry about the puns, omeletting myself have a little fun!)

What a great spot! Easy side road parking right across the street (so cars don’t ruin your photos). Well-kept area with great graphics detailing and how and why of the egg.

A great Czech-in! (Sorry, last one).

It's literally a beautifully painted giant egg right in the center on this beautiful, old town. I love everything about this town!! Such a rich history of the immigrant families who came and settled here and worked the land for over over several generations! There's an old water well they turned into a jail (drunk tank) lol. It's amazing and sad at the same time walking thru this town as it's in real time turning into a ghost town. This place is so far from everything and if you don't know it's there, you'd miss it completely. If you're reading this, you need to go and Czech it out lol but seriously, the 5 nice people we saw and spoke to in this town all were elderly and born and raised right here. With younger generations leaving this town behind to try to afford life in today's age, it's worth making the trip while people still actually live here. It's a must see, especially if you're on a road trip!
