This place is absolutely amazing. From the atmosphere, cleanliness, food quality, folks working here !!!! 👍❤. Breakfast was incredible. Everything homemade.
It has to be family owned and operated I would think. Either way they are doing it RIGHT here.
I’m working today, 1300 miles from home, sure didn’t feel that way here !!!!

I really loved this place! They have that great small-town diner appeal and a terrific menu that offers some surprising twists on classic favorites. I highly recommend the chicken nachos, and from our groups experience, you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The owners are really lovely people who operate the place themselves, which I love. They're located on Main St in Mayetta, KS, so if you're traveling up 75, make sure to pop over and check them out, as they're just off the highway.

Small town great food vibe. Nice to have a good diner close to home. Burgers are great the double you may need a to go box.

1 hint need to have country fried steak in stock. Still havent tryed it always out so must be popular.

We drove out to 1886 Cafe from Topeka to see why so many recommended this place. It didn't disappoint! Wonderful, friendly service! Delicious food! Quaint atmosphere! We enjoyed breakfast and the freshly grated hashbrowns were our fave!

We were visiting from Colorado and wanted a breakfast place close to our hotel at Prarie Band, after searching on Google maps this quaint family owned restaurant popped up. I knew it was going to be good when they asked how I wanted my bacon cooked. This is truly a farm to table made from scratch yummy goodness restaurant. Hash browns were home made not frozen, dark yoked fresh eggs! I think the only think that was not farm fresh was the ketchup! Lol 5 out of 5 stars . We will definitely stop by each time we come out to Kansas.

What a delightful spot to rest in the middle of a road trip. The food is fresh and delicious. The people are friendly and the desserts sounded great but we were too full. Excellent burgers and we recommend the goulash!

Delicious breakfast and friendly service! Recommend stopping in when you're in the Topeka KS area. Try the Dirty Scramble or Drop Biscuits and Gravy!

Great place for brunch. Best homemade hash browns. Delicious biscuits and gravy. Brunch buffets on Saturdays and Sundays are definitely going on my list.

The food was great, lol and the grumpy old men were amazing, I honestly was waiting for one of them to throw a dead fish in the others car... great service also...a true gem

Go here for our weekend breakfast. Sometimes lunch. It is as they advertise, always fresh and delicious. Their hashbrowns, chips etc always homemade. Very welcoming staff and owners. Worth the trip if you have to travel a little ways!

Loved the breakfast here! Wanted to go multiple times while visiting Kansas. Food was so tasty and service was great! Prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommend!

The food here is fantastic. With only one cook, there is a wait on busy days. The food is very good. So to me, it's worth the wait. Husband and wife running the restaurant, are so nice and down to earth. Good people! Good food! Only good things to say. We have been here multiple times and will continue to go back♡

I loved it was My first time visiting and the while Cafe is just cute and welcoming. I had the Chicken Philly it was the special for the day. And it was so delicious, the fries was so good too

We were cruising the area in search of wildlife and decided to take a break for lunch. We didn’t want a franchised place and opted for a mom and pop style restaurant when we saw this listed on google and decided to take a chance on 1886. The food was bomb and the people were nice. I will definitely tell people about this place.
