Sheyenne River State Forest

Beautiful slice of unusual terrain for North Dakota. Great trails, several beautiful parks. Fort Ransom is a wonderful park and town.

Nice little area to get out an walk around in after over eating this Thanksgiving. Everything is pretty much in hibernation mode but it was still pretty relaxing.

I have hiked all over north dakota, I think that it is top 3 hikes

We visited Sheyenne River State Forest to see a waterfall in North Dakota, trying to visit one in all 50 states. A 2-mile trail leads through the forest and ends at Mineral Springs Waterfall, North Dakota's only waterfall. The trail was very scenic, alternating between open meadows and forest. It's also part of the long-distance North Country Trail. The waterfall is small, but very scenic and it's spring-fed so flows year round. A couple locals we talked to at the waterfall said there are others in North Dakota, but they're on private property.

Good hike! Love the terrain - who knew ND had hills near the Eastside of the state! However, not an easy hike as advertised, more on the side of moderate.

A sweet hike to amazing things. Going back soon and camping 🏕 here. Beautiful area. A North Dakota secret that is absolutely beautiful and very nice.

Gotta check out North Dakota’s one and only waterfall!! Good hike some elevation, overall good hike.

It was absolutely amazing. It was a little hot and the waterfall was a longer than most hikes here, but the scenery was beautiful. 100% recommendation.

Water did fall so ig they delivered!
