Nice place! Tucked off the beaten path of the interstate back near the Sheyenne State National Forest. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Place was clean & well decorated. Food came in good size portions so if you leave hungry that’s your own fault. They have a small bakery with cake, cupcakes, (ice cream to) cookies, caramel roll, bread & such. If I get the chance to pass by again, I will definitely stop.

I love this place! Everything is homemade. Even the ketchup. The lobster Mac is killer, and the Caesar. French fries are amazing!! The owner is so nice and it’s family run. You have to stop in! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Wing Wednesday is a fave but Thursday's wood fire pizza is amazeballs! Best to get there right at 5 for the pizza and wing night. The lunchbox is definitely worth the drive.

Today my brother and I ate some of the most delicious food we have ever had! We have been vacationing in North Dakota for the last week, and today were traveling scenic byways in the southeastern part of the state near Fort Ransom State Park. This is where we found the Lunchbox Eatery.

I had the Brisket Sloppy Joe which came with fries that were probably the best fries I've ever eaten. The brisket was soft and delicious and the sauce was less tomatoey and more barbecue-ish (and wonderful!). It was topped with cheddar and sweet-spicy pickles - yum. I especially liked the little crunch I got from the homemade bun that they had grilled.

My brother got the Chainsaw Dave Burger - he said it was perfection! Fresh ground beef cooked just right, smoked cheddar, applewood smoked bacon with a smoky barbecue sauce and caramelized onions.

We ordered food for later to take back to our hotel, and my brother loved his smoked salmon wrap, while I was surprised how good the zucchini bisque was. I mean, I figured it would be good, but it was really outstanding!

We also took home some desserts. I had no idea what this "lemon blueberry" thing was except that it looked delicious, and when I ate it this evening, I was nearly swooning, it was so good. It turned out it was a really light and fluffy, creamycheesecake with a wonderful crust and nice big blueberries. We also bought a selection of cookies, and they were all really good.

Seriously, stop by this place if you are anywhere close. Or even if you're not - make it one of your North Dakota destinations!

Had a wonderful meal last night, halibut and risotto with Brussels sprouts. The bread was delicious! Excellent service. There was a large selection of baked goods that I would love to try next time!! I plan to come back! Beautiful little town.

The Lunchbox Eatery is one of the best eating experiences I’ve ever had in North Dakota. The chef really crafted an incredible menu with a ton of variety to please all. We had the lobster Mac, hot beef sandwich, Brie and berry compote grilled cheese, and smoked salmon BLT, and all of it was bursting with flavor. We finished with dessert, which was also incredible.

All of the ingredients are homemade, and it definitely shows. We will absolutely be back, and I’d encourage anyone to go out of their way to eat here.

The food is excellent. We had fresh halibut and roasted Brussels sprouts over a bed of saffron risotto. Another guest had the roasted turkey sandwich with cranberry mayonnaise and blue cheese on a homemade bun which was delicious. The turkey was even cooked in the restaurant—not from a deli. Prices were very reasonable.

We have been to this place at least 5 times and the food and atmosphere is great. There is something for everyone on the menu, comfort food, all fresh, and the desserts are delicious. We've had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even just a piece of pie or a caramel roll and you can't lose if you choose to dine here. The owners are wonderful too. We will be back again and again.

We love this place! Plus a major bonus is their gluten-free options for those of us who have to eat that way. We appreciate that! They had a variety of options, all of which looked very good. This is our 4th time eating there in the last few months. Worth the hour drive for us!

This is a nice casual and fun place to eat. The food is homemade and is very tasty. The atmosphere is friendly. We ate breakfast on a Sunday morning and hope to be back for their taco Tuesday. Please note that while they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in the winter, they are open 7 days a week in the summer. Recommend calling ahead for hours.

I have eaten here twice in the past two weeks when we've been to Fort Ransom State Park. The first visit was for breakfast and it was amazing!! The 2nd visit was for takeout. Burgers and smoked salmon wrap exceeded our expectations. All fresh produce from their garden or from local producers (lettuce was delivered by a farmer when I was picking up)! We also had deepfried pickle fries--Yum!! A must stop if you are in the area!!

The food and service here is incredible! I've eaten at lots of places that don't offer anything this delicious! The best shrimp tacos ever! Even the side dishes were unbelievable!

I can't wait to return!
