This place is awesome. It only has four rooms. two are doubles and two are singles. The internet is fast, flat screen TV, clean, newly remodeled - what more could you ask for? It is right next door to a sporting goods / convenience store that has a grill and makes pizzas and burgers and stuff. If I am ever in the area I will stay here again.

Quiet, clean, warm, super comfy beds, and the heat lamp in the bathroom was a perfect touch! Thank you so much!! One of my favorite places to stay on mine and my dads cross country motorcycle road trip!

I came to Downs to do some shooting ... video shooting for a local wedding, that is. This place was the perfect lodging for me. Clean and tidy, it had all of the essentials. And the price was unbeatable! Super nice people to deal with, as well!

The rooms are not large, but they are nice and clean. The perfect budget-friendly place to stay after a day at the lake.

It was a real treasure finding this place!! A small very well maintained property and ran by a really nice couple! If we are ever in the area we will stay again!!

The accomadations are perfect here at Lock and Load Lodge for anyone who is looking to do any outdoor activities here in the Downs area. Very clean rooms!!! Highly recommended

Nice room for a great price. Added benefit of a lockable door to the other rooms if you are staying with multiple people.

It’s a nice clean place, Jean is a sweet young lady that will make the most of your stay I would recommend lock n load lodge to anyone

Far from the nicest hotel I've ever been in, but was surprisingly serviceable and incredibly affordable. A smart business plan, too, as they just give you a door code. I have most definitely stayed in far worse accomodations.
