I love it here. Trails are well maintained and clean. For intermediate riders, I strongly recommend viewing the features before riding them... lots of rock drops. The lake is gorgeous too.

This particular area of Wilson State Park is absolutely incredible! Multiple singletrack trails of varying skill levels, plenty of normal biking and ebiking opportunities as well, such as taking a loop of the lake with trips over the Hell Creek bridge and the Dam. Some of the camping spots in the area have electricity and a private walk down to a small but sensational Beach. Park your bike and take a quick hike on the Dakota trail, or sneak down to the old dock and cove behind the marina. This place is worth a multi night stay alas, I was only able to do an overnighter. Will be back!!!

If you go full send… you better wear a protective gear from hair-like spines cactuses, the trails are like barbed and covered with thorns. Watch out for ticks, tick bite. June 20, 2022

AMAZING.

I got here at sunset to check it out before the next day and the views were stunning. I couldn’t believe that there was NO SOUND AT ALL. NONE. When I closed my eyes I thought I was dead that’s how quiet it was.

Came back next day and couldn’t bike (original intention) too much ice and snow. So i hiked it and I was not disappointed. I kept thinking how nice of a trail it would to ride but it’s ok. another trip.

saw all sorts of animal trails and had fun on FB with friends trying to guess what they were.

I WILL MOST DEFINITELY COME BACK IN WARMER TIMES TO BIKE THIS and that’s saying a lot because i live in NJ.

even my dinosaur had a great time. fb: danzig the dinosaur.

A beautiful nature hike trail with lots of terrain options to explore. Beautiful in autumn.

Switchgrass is an incredible 25-ish miles of trails out in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas. It's definitely worth the drive from KC if the weather looks mild for the weekend. It's like they took trails from SW Colorado and dropped them in western Kansas. The plains aren't known for tree cover, so bring a popup tent.

Spent a long weekend mountain biking and camping. Met some locals on the trails that were extremely helpful. The trails were dry but in great condition. Something for everyone from beginner to flowy to technical. We didn’t have time to do it all but will be back.

I love these trails and this beautiful area in general. It is well worth the trip from KC to ride here. Check out the Eisenhower Presidential museum while in the area...catch a (Catholic) church service at the amazing basilica in Victoria, KS if you're into that kind of thing. This is a great pit stop if going to or from Colorado.

This trail is easily marked and easy to maneuver. My husband and I just got back from hiking in Colorado and decided to find hiking trails in our area. This trail offers it's own beauty which is grand for flat Kansas! This particular trail is bike and hike and sometime I'd like to go back and bike the same route. We were there on a very hot day. We started at 8am and were done by 10:30 but it was already 95 degrees so we will start much earlier next time.

My formative mtb years were in the PNW, round rocks, slippery roots, steep ups and downs, including trail building with IMBA. Since hitting the road as a full time RVr I've enjoyed trails in the SW, and as we cross this country now KS.

Wow, these are wonderful trails with a variety of challenges from beginner up to black diamond, although those moments are very sparse. Beyond your capability, just walk a bit. Dropper post, FS, and 29r's will do well here.

Ended up the temps just dropped making it perfect, upper 60's to mid 70's. I'm thinking the Summer is too hot. October would be perfect.

What a gem. Look out for the wildlife on the trail. I found a small turtle smack dab in the middle of the trail that from a distance look like a rock.

Wow, so hard to believe this is KANSAS! Totally not what you would expect. Sort of reminds me of the Texas Hillcountry, but its own unique and beautiful spin on it.

Outstanding IMBA Epic singletrack - something for every user level including a 5 mi beginner loop. Restrooms/shower/camping at trailhead in the park.

Very fast, flowy trail. Easy to ride, easy to hike. The trail is right along the lake and offers some great views. The scenery is very cool and unique for Kansas. I can't wait to go back.

Incredible and well maintained trail system. IMBA epic rated. The full loop is 25+ miles of awesomeness. Excited to ride it again.
