Amsterdam Cafe

Rode the Harley down from Kansas City area just to eat at the Amsterdam Cafe, and it was well worth the trip!
Great food in a nice, hometown atmosphere!
Planning next trip already to get here early enough for breakfast!!
UPDATE!!! WE HAD BREAKFAST, and it did not disappoint!

Always good food and wonderful people. Very much enjoy lunch or dinner here. Willing to drive 80 miles round trip to dine here.

Outstanding food and fair price. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the servers were outstanding. It’s clean and comfortable. I’m looking forward to a return visit.

So glad we stopped in again today. Took my folks here from Sedalia, to lunch. Yummy Reubens, chicken fried steak sandwich, curly s, slaw, and pickled beets!

I've had lunch here several times these last few weeks and it's excellent. Good burgers and fries, ridiculously large pork tenderloin sandwiches, and some delish pies.

Food was great! But ordered my glass of water in a to go cup and without being told they charged me a 1.50 for my water! Said i wouldnt have ordered it in a to go cup if i had been told i would be charged 1.50!!

great food, waitresses are very friendly, Randy the owner/cook is the BEST at giving home cooked meals & his Thursday night chicken is the best around!! Very clean and nice local history on display.

Fried chicken special, crisp but not over breaded, just like my mom used to make.

Today's fried chicken, from the cafe in the big town of Amsterdam, Missouri (see pic) is south of the (informal) Mason and Dixon - and tastes like it!... Darn Good!.... I will be going back, again, and again...

This place is a rare gem!! Good old home style cooking, real Mashed potatoes, fried chicken is superb!

Don't miss Thursdays chicken specials. Ordered a 4 piece and are it all before I realized it. And I don't usually eat a large meal. Yummy...

Had a great time, with good food. Can't wait to come back on a Thursday for some fried chicken!!!
