The dr is really nice. The nurse named Laura was rude but it was the end of her shift. We don’t get service this fast where I come from so when they apologize for how long it took we explained it’s not an issue

Good place 2b when you need it

The doctors are good but the billing department sucks they need to ether fire the person who is running it they don’t even give you time to pay your bill didn’t even we had one till we get one in collections plus some of the bills where dated back too 2012

Your billing department is the worst. So dishonest you should be ashamed!! Billed medicare for services and asked what about Blue Cross they told us Blue Cross denied the charge. When we contacted Blue Cross Blue Cross said they never billed for it. Called the billing department back told them they needed to stop lying and build Blue Cross Blue shield. they said because we signed a piece of paper we would take responsibility for charges not covered that they don't have to do anything. Maybe the billing department should learn their job and actually Bill insurance companies rather than just turning everybody over to collections. SHAMEFUL!!!

If this hospital represents the standard of excellence in healthcare for North Central Kansas, then North Central Kansas should be ashamed of itself settling for such a very, very low standard. The SCMH CFO falsely billed me for services I never received, promised to credit my account three days ago, and has yet deposited nothing in my bank account. The hospital is lightning fast at taking money, but returning is, well, a horse and buggy would be faster. I would have registered my grief privately, but that is not possible. Businesses with such "high standards of excellence" just don't want to bother hearing from anyone they wrong.

On the other hand, the food served is first rate. Ten stars for the chef and kitchen staff.

Pain management. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and money seeing them. The hospital was a lot better before when a person could see their doctor and they would recommend treatment and schedule you to see specialists. No your doctor schedules you to see pain management you are in severe pain you wait 2 weeks to see them they schedule you for steroid shots you wait another 2 weeks for shots again no pain medication. You go back for a follow up in 2 weeks. Telling them the shots didn't work she said she would schedule you for a nerve conducton test on salina. That was Feb 9th. We have waited 2 weeks now and have heard nothing. I don't know if they are swamped short handed or what. But there is no excuse for this cind of patient care.

The doctors are fine but the billing department needs to be fired. They violate parental rights by not allowing bills to be sent to both parties, claiming it is a violation of HIPPA rights. The parent who was requesting the bill is the person who pays his child's medical bills. This is the only hospital who does this. Also they will not count your co pay and will try and double charge you. I got a bill a year after date of service, insurance denied on March 4, 2021 and now they want to bill me. I know someone else who got threatened with court action after they received a bill 3 years later. This person did not even know they had a bill. I would suggest taking the drive to Mankato or Phillipsburg to get treatment where they have just as good of doctors as Smith County.

I wouldn’t go here. They will sent you a bill even if you haven’t seen them in over a year.
