Allow me to begin by saying: This restaurant is nothing short of spectacular.
First off, the Sopes de Carne Asada were out of this world. They make the masa fresh and cook it on the Comal. The salsa verde has great flavor with a kick of spiciness.
The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. The waitress had such an amazing spirit, and was very attentive.
If I weren't from out of town, this would become a regular spot to eat at. Thank you La Estrella!

Best pork street taco ever!
Not your typical runny beans Tex Mex preparation but fresh tasty diced right. Lovely hard working devoted Christian restaurant and owners do not serve alcohol products and are courteous to all.. The restaurant is spotless!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is excellent, I have eaten here 10+ times and never left an unsatisfied customer. The salsa is the BEST in town. The chips, delightful. The service is wonderful. They now have a booth where you can submit prayer requests, and they WILL PRAY FOR YOU. Y'all. And there is always Christian music playing. The servers are very knowledgeable on their menu options, and prompt food preparation and being brought out to customers. A business that stands for something and follows it through is so appreciated in a small town like this.
I am also a frequent chips and salsa to-go customer, and love love love it.
There is no better restaurant in this town.

I travel all over North America and eat at a lot of different places - especially Mexican restaurants. This place has great food and great service.

Delicious & Courteous!

Was greeted upon entry and was seated right away. Order flautas, which looked just like they did on the menu and tasted great. Salsa is very mild with a slight sweet taste. Everything was fresh and the waitress checked in frequently. Great place to dine!

Best Mexican food in town!!

This place is as close to moms cooking as I can get in ulysses. Delicious food served fresh with a smile. The owners are amazing people and assure the best service is given. Felt welcome from the start. Definately recomendó the Mexican hamburger or the fajitas.

Barbacoa is among the very best I've eaten! The tripe was very good too!

A great option for a Saturday, after an out-of-town Cross Country Meet. We had a platter of street tacos which everyone in our party thought were fabulous. Beans & rice were also enjoyed. Leftovers were enjoyed later.

Cute diner atmosphere. Food is good and service is quick! I will have to go again to try something new! Enchiladas are amazing. The chips and salsa are perfect to compliment the cuisine.
