Cape Girardeau County Park South

Cape Girardeau does a really good job with their parks and playgrounds. The area is really open and beautiful with the lake right there. This playground was very interesting and unique. I have never seen anything like it with certain elements that I didn't know existed. I've seen zip lines at parks but not large ones like this that go up and down. There's also this big arch thing that talks to you as you run under it and is interactive with a pad underneath your feet for games.

This is a Beautiful park with play grounds, walking trails, fishing, grilling and a peaceful place where you can enjoy your family and friends. The bathrooms are nice and clean this park is well maintained Everytime. My family and I, had our fourth of July gathering here and invited our church members and other folks who just heard about it!! All was welcomed. We had a wonderful Blessed time!! so don't hesitate!! plan a feast and enjoy!!! GOD BLESS!!!🙏🏽😇👋💞

Since the pandemic, we get Fast food and head to park for a nice fresh air picnic. Even if it's cold out. Just some treasured, peaceful moments. Everything was decorated, the geese and Mallards were on the pond. It's clean and neat and we'll kept. We highly recommend. Great walking too !

Beautiful well-maintained park. Love the walking trails near the lake. The park includes or is adjacent to a Missouri Conservation Department Nature Center that includes additional walking trails. Christmas displays are nice both day and night.

This is one of the nicest parks in the area. Several pavilions with 2 or 3 of them with a lot of play structures for the kids. A walking-hiking trail. They are in the process of making improvements to the park including ADA improvements lake but it's all awesome now.

Nice place to visit and there is plenty of tables and playground equipment for the kids.They do have running water but not all of the bathrooms are unlocked yet.There is a trail but it needs to be cleaned up really bad.

A gem of a park just on the outskirts of Cape. Only had dogs in tow, but the playground looked like it could keep the kiddos entertained for hours! Very spacious, lush grounds, well maintained.

My son and his fiancé had a gender reveal at this park. It was absolutely beautiful. The pavilions are equipped with electricity. The scenery is stunning. The pavilion rental was $65 for the day. You won't be disappointed. Plenty of playground for children. The restrooms were conveniently located close to the pavilion. Also had disabled parking.

Beautiful park, great walking and hiking trails. Has an amazing playground for children, along with fishing and frisbee golf.

The park was nice enough to allow our youth to have our activity there since our church burned earlier this year. We deeply appreciate it.

I so enjoyed attending a birthday party being held outside at the park. Very beautiful Park and several Pavilions to choose from to Reserve for special occasions. You would never realize the highway is Right nearby with such a beautiful view as you go around the small Lake at the park. A very well planned out Park that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Great place to bring the kids. Lots of playground equipment in good condition with full restrooms.

Nice facilities but we only caught one tiny fish! Lol better luck next time I guess!

One of the best playgrounds I've ever seen.

Awesome. My girls are 14 and if they don't have their 4 yo nice with them - then they are photo shooting all the wildlife. Clean, nice grounds keepers. Pleasant.

Kids had fun and facilities were clean.
