Liberty Utilities

Have been a customer of Liberty for 3+ years. ALWAYS have had very good customer service. Have smelled gas outside twice in the middle of the night. Called, and the man has come right out and taken care of it.

I had a bad experience with them before, but they have redeemed themselves. Thanks for getting your best and ridding your worst. I feel appreciated as a customer and I'm glad I was able to experience Liberty Utilities in a good light.

Our heat was out and there was about 10 inches of snow on the ground and they came out and dug the line and fixed the issue. Thanks so much!

I have had no complaints here. Excellent customer service and the people are all very nice.

Dads utilities company

I have been on the phone ALL MORNING. They just will not let you talk to anyone. The automated service is pitiful. Want to pay money. NO PROBLEM. Trying to go to summer home for six months, and want to find out if it pays to disconnect gas for 6 months, and reconnect, or if there is a system where they keep it on, but not in use, etc. ZITO CABLE will do it for $4 a month. Will keep my phone number forwarded to my cell for $2 a month. Zito not the best cable, but customer service has been great. The local Liberty Harrisburg, Il office people VERY NICE. Corporate customer service terrible. Can't get the local phone number. Tried everything. I know they have one, as they were answering the phone from customers when we were last in there. I'm tempted to go propane for cooking and a heat pump for heat. Hot water is already electric. CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS. OH, FORGOT, AFTER HOLDING ON LINE FOREVER IT AUTOMATED ME OVER TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. Update. Svc has gotten better

The customer service was friendly, however the company doubled charged me. I received an email a month in advance from them, stating i may be double charged. so i called in advance to make sure they didnt. I was reassured there would only be one charge for my last month, but lo and behold, i was double charged anyway. So now i have to wait two weeks for a mail-in payment from something that should have never been taken in the first place. Poor business practice.

Gas service is gas service but, the big difference one might find in a utility company is CUSTOMER service. Liberty has an automated service only phone line. If you have a rotary (or broken) phone ... you will not talk to them. The recorded message directs you to several choices and if you don't make a selection (because you can't) it hangs up on you. There is no voice option so that you can speak your CHOICE. There is a wasted call and an ANNOYED customer. We have to utilize the service but, we NEED to be able to communicate with the company.

No local phone number. Have to call out to a 800#. The drivers (technicians) carry and have to use their personal cell phones and will not answer them if you did happen to stumble across one of their #'s

Awful automated service. Frequent hang ups and disconnects. Must have 16 digest account number for every service and enter repeatedly. Almost impossible to talk to live person

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I've had Liberty twice in two different cities. Both times I've had exorbitant outrageous rates and very poor service. Their website doesn't even show the amount you owe and it's impossible to get your bill online. They will sign you up for email statements without your consent and then disconnect you if you get less than a week behind on your bill.

Waited the whole weekend to get our gas turned on and they finally showed up the following Tuesday and called from a blocked number from thier private phone so my phone didn't ring. So i called the office and they was completely useless and said we would have to wait another day.

Shut my hot water off on a Friday and left my kids without a way to shower all weekend, all because they said they emailed me for more info and i never got it. Never once tried to call my phone number, just came and shut it off and said nothing they can do til Monday. Keeep in mind we literally just moved here, so havent even gotten our first bill yet. Needless to say they gave me a horrible first impression and i will make sure everyone knows how horrible the customer service is.

Customer service was horrible. They are extremely rude and every time I call I am treated horribly. I called with a question about my bill and was treated very rudely by the customer service employee so I ask to speak to a manager and she told me there were none available that someone would be calling me back . I have never heard of a manager not being available for a customer to talk to and I have been a liberty utilities customer for over 10 years.
