Headed back to Wichita and found this absolutes beautiful little Southern diner with the vibe I remember back growing up in Oklahoma.

Location, Location, Location... This spot has it all for Location, parking and building pop. Now, lets get to the good part. Staff is spot on and menus which are what you'd think of for the area. Small but pack a punch with what they have. Food, its been awhile since i cleaned my plate off after a bacon cheese burger with waffle fries. Hats off the cook! The price, three folks, three meals and drinks, with tip of $5 and still under $30. Folks, please stop by and support local.

The vibe is about as American as you get. I love the cigar Indian as you walk in.

Owners, if you read this. Thank you for all you do daily. Amazing job.

We always stop here when we leave Arkansas, on our way back home to Omaha. I have never been disappointed. Breakfast serverd all day, is fantastic. The cheese burgers are moist and juicy. The French fries are as good as any I've ever had. Food is served piping hot, with a smile. Small town friendly service.. I highly recommend you give it a try today.

Love this place. The service is always top notch and the food is great. The owner Peggy is always checking in to make sure everything is going well. Every time we come through here we stop to eat. Because we always have a good meal.

On our way to Springfield/Branson found this gem for lunch with the family. Great place with amazing German potato salad, special of the day desert (banana for me) and light flaky delicious catfish filets. Would recommend again and again.

If you are like me and grew up in small town America with fond memories of the local diner and buffet, Peggy's Own Family Restaurant is your stop. Friendly greetings by the owner, instantly felt "at home". Oh and did I mention wonderful hoemstyle fried chicken. Whenever passing through Jasper on way to a float trip in Noel or just making your way from Joplin to KC, this is a great stop for a wonderful and economical family minded buffet and diner.

I absolutely love this dinner!! The food is great quality, the staff are friendly and personable! The food tastes like grandma made it at home herself! Would have rated 10 stars!!

What a delicious place to eat!! We needed somewhere to stop off the highway and this looked perfect. They were not very busy when we ate and the service and food was incredible!! Our waitress was absolutely amazing and the food was hot and fresh. There was a buffet available as well as a salad bar and two choices of dessert included in the dinners! The prices were fantastic and we were in and out pretty quickly. Will return and highly recommend!!

Best family dining experience around! Best prices! Best fried chicken! A must stop that will become your favorite place! Just remember they close at 2:00 pm!!!

We have always drove passed this place because it's never open when we're in the area but today they was and we are there food is great the waitress was super nice! We tried a few different items all was good!

Very friendly staff. Good coffee. BLT is on Texas toast unless you specify wheat. No complaints. Locals say it's better than Judy's.

If you are in Jasper, you should stop at Peggy's... Great lunch buffet available at a good price. Very friendly servers and staff. Great fried chicken and Pork Tenderloins!

We ate the buffet. It is basic good food. I am on a low salt diet and this food was perfect. Also not too much pepper. All you taste is good food! It was 25$ for 2 unlimted buffet plus appetizer plus cinnamon roll. Cabbage, mac n cheese, corn, fried fish, mexican taco casseroleis what i ate. There was also fried chicken and mashed taters, and a salad bar.

Excellent Cafe there are only open from like 6:00 to 2:00 p.m. . We showed up at 1:45 got our meals nice and hot and fresh, paid less than $20 for two people even included dessert.

My husband had the fried chicken and loved it. I had the BLT, fried potatoes and cucumber and onions and it was delicious. Friendly staff too :)

We eat here anytime we are in town visiting my dad. Small town restaurant that serves up big taste with some friendly customer service. If you are in town or just passing through, give them a try. I'm sure they won't disappoint!

When your passing thru jasper, it is an absolute must to stop for lunch at Peggys. Absolutely hands down best home cooking around, amazing lunch specials and incredible desserts. I eat lunch there daily cuz I work just up the street and my wife gets tired of hearing how great peggys cooking is..stop in and tell the girls johnnie sent ya..lol

We were a large party and were seated right away. All of our orders were correct and delicious. Great service and great food!

So don't be taken aback by the exterior of the restaurant. It is a gem. Service was very nice and the food was phenomenal!! If possible, get the Pig Omelette. Next time I'm in the area, I'll pop in for breakfast.

Has friendly atmosphere and great homecooking. Best fried chicken and if you need it grilled you can it that way too. Best breakfast ever.
