Ev's Cabinet Shop

Ev’s Cabinet Shop replaced our kitchen cabinets in 1994. They have definitely withstood the test of time and survived three kids, numerous friends and family events, and even a repainting six years ago. The Fosters provide a great product. The first picture was taken in 2018 before painting the cabinets and 24 years after installation.
This is after painting. There was no replacement of door hinges, inside rollers or mechanisms only the door pulls and only because we wanted the change. We definitely got the value from our purchase.

We are so happy with our new cabinets! It was such an easy process to go through. They give you a time estimate and meet it. The quality of these cabinets are so beautiful and the price is so reasonable. Installation day they show up on time and get the job done in about 3 hours. I recommend Evs to everyone!!!

We used Ev's Cabinet Shop last year for our new build. They did my cabinets for all my bathrooms, kitchen, and mudroom. They did an amazing job with answering any questions and also the install.

Reviewing a whole set of white, painted kitchen cabinets. I am sure the cabinets are of good quality, but the paint job by Ev’s cabinet is very poor. These cabinets are being used by an older couple who treats house with care. After 1 year, many cabinets started to chip and wear on the edges and ridges. Requested a small amount of paint to touch up. Edges of chips and wear were lightly touched with extra fine sandpaper before touch up. Then the small amount of paint supplied by ev’s did NOT match in sheen, so then had a messed-up look. Now after a total of 2 years and 3 months, there are over all chipping and wearing going on in many, many spots. Evidently, the bare cabinets were not prepared, not sanded or cleaned properly to receive the cabinet paint, nor painted the essential number of times. My inexpensive utility cabinets from Menards have no wear. Just to say very aggravated with crummy looking cabinets that have been used for a short time.

Their espresso stain rubs off really easily, their slow close hinges fall off regularly, and if you got white cabinets they’ll be 70’s yellow in a year. Better off getting stock cabinets from Lowes.

I wish I read past reviews before commissioning EV’s cabinets. NEVER AGAIN! First, I will give them credit where credit is due. The overall construction of the cabinets seem good. No particle board is a plus. There were several scratches or dings and several warped doors. They fixed some of the issues,but nor all. End the positive experience. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Installers do not know how to level or mount cabinets. They initially slapped them up on the wall and one section was 2” higher than another. They will attempt to match seams eyeballing it without clamps, they do not pre-drill, and if the cabinets were not level to begin with, your seams will be off. They split spacers. They will drill dozens of holes in your wall looking for a stud with disregard to existing electrical. They make no effort to clean their mess. Most of this seems to result from lack of experience, lack of training, and a lack of professionalism. You will only hear from the owner the day he takes measurements and takes your deposit. If you question their practices, you get nothing but a bunch of B.S. excuses. My recommendation is to look elsewhere. I would have gladly paid more for a proper installation and positive experience. Do your research and check other reviews. If you should ignore my recommendation, have someone else do your install. Yes, you might pay extra, but you will be happier in the end.

This has got to be the MOST incompetent company I've ever had the displeasure to work with. Nothing is hidden here. First off they had to ask what Lot I was, 4 times, I had send videos twice (because they lost the emails, how do you lose an email?) Then after 2 months of little to no contact because they are "too busy" they finally schedule a Monday morning appointment. Only to no show a 7AM appointment that they "had to arrive early to get it done". Only to set up a Friday 7AM appointment. And guess who no-showed again this morning. SHOCKING. I'll supply emails below for proof. The real gem is the random email to the wrong client at the end. What doors are you refinishing of mine? You haven't even showed up to look at them! You must hire ninjas.
