The Doll House Bed and Breakfast

The Dollhouse B&B is outstanding in every way. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay in the beautifully maintained historic home comfortable. The room was beautiful, well lit, and had a very comfortable bed and shower. Breakfast was delicious and filling, there was a coffee maker, tea, lemonade, fresh cookies, and bottled water waiting on our arrival, safe bike storage, and a beautiful patio area and porch. The location couldn't be more convenient right on the Katy Trail and Melissa and Ken are generous, kind and friendly hosts who will also give you space to relax and enjoy on your own. I wish I could give 6 stars!

Stayed here on our Katy Trail tour to avoid the crowds at Herman .The house was very cool. We stayed in the trail room which has a very nice private covered porch .The room was very nice,and so were the owners Ken and Melissa . The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit ,with granola and yogurt for parfaits, eggs , bacon and potatoes all prepared perfectly .We had food delivered from Herman the night of our arrival and ate it on the covered porch. In the morning one of our bike tires was flat and they let us use their air compressor to air it up. Very helpful , kind people.I highly recommend them if you want a nice peaceful stay and a very nice breakfast in a peaceful setting.

Amazing hosts. We’re so glad this house didn’t get moved up the hill with the rest of town. Breakfast was to die for. A real country meal without a bunch of processed stuff. 5 stars isn’t enough.

We had a great stay here! Very close to Hermann but with that country feel. Breakfast was great and room super clean! Very easy to get to. Would def recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about the Doll House! Melissa and her husband were amazing hosts and everything about our stay was perfect. We stayed in The Loft on the third floor (because of the jacuzzi tub) and it did not disappoint. The room was spotless, Melissa and her husband were so kind, and the breakfast was amazing!! We will be back soon and will be telling everyone we know about this cute little place outside of Hermann!

We arrived after a long day on the Katy Trail in the rain. They had a hose available to rinse bikes off, fresh chocolate chip cookies and lemonade ready, a comfortable room with access to laundry and coffee/ tea. To add to the extra mile, Ken was able to find a screw to fit my bike's rear rack, as one of the screws holding the rack to the frame was missing and I would not be able to carry the panniers without it! I was so grateful. The breakfast was wonderful. This is a " must stop" if biking through on thevKaty!

This is a great place! When we got off the trail, after riding all day, they had fresh cookies and lemonade waiting for us. The breakfast was great, the people were very friendly.

We really enjoyed their patio at night. It had a really great sitting area. In the morning we spent some time on their front deck. It was excellent as well.

Best place to stay on the KatyTrail! We arrived soaking wet, tired and hungry and Melissa dried our clothes, had homemade cookies and lemonade waiting. The Loft was clean and comfy and breakfast was incredible and bountiful! Melissa was very kind, loaned us bike tools and did everything to make us feel at home. And it’s just a short Uber ride away from the adorable town of Hermann where we had our anniversary dinner. Will definitely be back!

We loved our stay! We used it as our base so we could ride the Katy both directions. We enjoyed the patio every evening. Melissa is SO nice and very accommodating as to our breakfast wants. She’s a great cook. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to all our friends. Thanks again!

Wonderfully house. Private bathrooms per room. Great hosts were willing to do extra mile. It was like visiting family. No other businesses close by. Saved biking into Herman across the river.

We came here on a little miniature vacation a few months ago! The service was great and friendly and she was so flexible with breakfasts and timing, and ready to go with recommendations as well. We stayed in the upstairs suite and it was so cozy and welcoming.

Our favorite place to stay when visiting nearby Hermann for wine trail events. Great old farmhouse. Super nice hosts. You won't be needing lunch after having the delicious breakfast served here. We'll be going back in February to celebrate retirement and take the Chocolate wine trail event. The Katy Trail is just outside, too for you bicyclists!

I was riding the Katy Trail in January and I had no place to stay for the night, I literally knocked on the door and was welcomed with open arms. The Hosts are amazing, the house is super clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything a weary rider would need. Located right on the trail, across the street from the local bar 👍

Can't say enough how much we loved this place - perfect for our last night on the Katy! The owners gave us a warm greeting when we arrived and had cold lemonade and fresh cookies waiting - awesome after a hot July in MIssouri day of riding! The accommodations are lovely and the beds are great. Breakfast was amazing and prepared at the time of our choosing which was really great so we could get going early. I highly recommend this place if you are riding the Katy or just want to get out of STL for a weekend!

Where to even start! Ken and Melissa are amazing at what they do here at the Dollhouse Bed and Breakfast! Right when you pull up the fall decor gave us a homey feel. We were greeted with such excitement and were welcomed in immediately! They gave us a tour of the place which is so classic in every detail. My boyfriend and I came for his birthday and stayed in the loft. Missy baked fresh bread and cookies to welcome us for the occasion and set up champagne and glasses. They had everything we needed to feel right at home. They knew everything going on in the local area and gave us suggestions on where to eat, drink, etc. Their information made for a relaxing and fun weekend. Don't even get me started on the delicious breakfast prepared every morning at the connivence of your own time and when you wake up. They made sure you were full and focused for your day of activities. The French toast is amazing with sides and options such as eggs potatoes fruit bacon sausage you name it!! They always kept a stocked fridge full of waters which was very important after drinking at the wineries all day. We always ended our nights around the fire pit relaxing and drinking and getting to know the owners and other residents. It was so great meeting new people and heading off to the privacy of your own room. This couldn't have been anymore perfect of a weekend and we owe it all the kindness and hospitality of the amazing owners Melissa and Ken. We definitely recommend everyone to come and stay, and as hard as it was to leave we know we'll definitely be back soon!!!!

We stayed here one night while biking the Katy Trail. Due to detours, we were not going to make it before dark. We called to let them know we would get in late. Ken offered to come pick us and our bikes up so we didn’t have to ride after dark. He was a life saver! The room was great and breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend his place.

Owner was very friendly and prepared an amazing breakfast! We stopped there on our two day cycle trip on the Katy Trail. You can see the B&B from the trail. Lovely outdoor patio for relaxing after a long day riding. Onlyential downside is that the only option for food is the bar across the street.

This was a great Bed & Breakfast experience - the host Amanda has been doing this for 13 years and still works as hard as if it were day one. We arrived and were offered home-baked cookies and an ice-cold glass of lemonade. The room was great and the breakfast was VERY filling and yummy! She's a great person and was fun to talk with, giving us great tips on what to do at Hermann!

If you have a chance you have got to stay at the Doll House. Kenny and Missy are awesome and will do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome. Missy can flat out cook too my friends. The place is so cozy and so well kept up. The outdoor sitting area is gorgeous with all kinds of plants,and nice furniture. The sunrises and sunsets are fantastic in that valley. If you are a Katy Trail person its right there. You will unwind, relax and I promise you will have a good time.
