Colonial Cafe

Lived nearby for three years and it's the first time trying this place. We ordered two chicken cheesesteaks. The flavors were delicious! I would get some more sauce next time (teriyaki & Guinness). The sandwiches are a bit on the smaller side but I would definitely order again!

Went in bar was mostly full, but we got seats right away. Bartender greeted us as we sat down and we had drinks in a quick minute. Atmosphere was calm and relaxed people were talking and enjoying themselves. The bar looks great! Clean well lit and the food came out fast hot and fresh. Good time overall and we recommend the orange crush.

This no frills establishment has been in business for a very long while. They’ve never been voted best of anything, and that’s good, cause it keeps it quiet for the locals. George and family keep the good sandwiches fresh and you can always find your standard beers as well as some great rotating taps. Have an orange crush for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It tastes the same no matter the time… delicious.

This place is a small cool place to relax have a couple beers and eat excellent food!!! Highly recommend the Reuben sandwich!

Love the atmosphere. The staff are amazing and the vibe is very relaxed. Always meeting new people and conversing. I order food for the first time (chicken parm with French fries) and it was delicious. Definitely one my new favorite local places to go

Talk about a cozy spot. Colonial Café is a simple, no-frills bar with light eats and a strong local community surrounding it. Worth a visit if your looking for a small bar to enjoy a beer and some quick food.

Had a cheese steak and fries. Sandwich was very good, fries were ok. Crowded but nice people.

The best local bar. period. Amazing food(bourbon glazed meatloaf, reuben and buffalo chicken cheesesteak), awesome draft list and the best bartenders. Cash only so just be aware of that prior, but they do have an ATM.

First let me just say that this place is awesome! It's your classics neighborhood bar but they nail all the important things. Good wings? Check. Good beer selection? Check. Friendly atmosphere? Double check. It's a great place to go to watch a game or just hangout on a Sunday night.

Love this place. I've been going here for years. Food is terrific and they carry microbrews on tap in addition to standard beers.

I am having a tough time grading this little gem!! I have it at a 92 (out of 100), how many points are 1. They made me a sesame garlic bread roll, not on menu. 2. $7.85, yes $7.85. 3. Bar; TVs, beer and no kids. 4. A Jack Daniels statue (and mini gruden). These facts prob add 4 points and make this top cheesesteak?? Yes/no. Either way I am very glad a finally found Colonial Cafe!! Another place I have driven by a thousand times. I would add a stop at Colonial Cafe to a day trip. According to memorabilia on walls, they appear to be very ‘civic minded’ which is always a plus.

This place has one of the best burgers I've ever had. Get the fried pickle burger, you won't regret it.

Gr8 neighborhood bar with a terrific lunch menu. The sandwiches are great.

Great local bar with a good beer selection and great food. On my most recent visit I had the special, a pork belly ruben, which was probably the best Ruben I have ever had.

Colonial Cafe is great. I have never had a bad meal there and they always new fresh brews available. Their is Orange Crush is absolutely amazing

Great place! The food is delicious. I had the homemade Chicken Noodle soup. It was full of stock.Also, a steak sandwich with fried onions. It was excellent as well as the fresh roll. Bartenders are very friendly. Felt very comfortable there.

Just had a hot roast beef & provolone, horseradish on this side. My 90 father had smoked sausage, the peppers smelled fantastic. The renovation looks great while still maintaining much of the old charm & decor.
I also liked that I could get a short pour, i.e. not a pint, on draft.

Beers are cold, kitchen makes good food, and everything is reasonably priced.

Great service, friendly crowd, plenty of seating, just an all around great place to have a few beverages and a decent meal.

My wife and I have been coming here since the early 80's. Joe and Tim, the Drink Technicians, (Is that more politically correct than bartenders?) have been here since that time. George is a newbie. This is a throwback bar that let's you reminisce of an era that was memorable. My softball team used to get thrown out of here for being noisy back in the day. We always look forward to coming here for the food (Reuben and Cold Beef Hoagie are great) and conversation. Will keep coming back. Good job Mike.
