Piston Diner

Really good diner with an array of excellent soups and tasty entrees. The soups are the true star here. If you can't find a soup you like then you got some real problems. Entrees are good but the portion is a bit smaller than other diners but the quality is there. Barb was an excellent server and an asset to this business. Can't wait to go back to try other soups.

We've been seeing tons of favorable posts about Piston Diner lately, and the flight of soups were particularly appealing. Last night, we were looking in the fridge and freezer, and didn't see anything that looked good for dinner. "How about we try Piston?". She grabbed the keys and headed to the door. 🤣

6 years ago, I used to live literally across the street from them when they were relatively new. At that time, I found the food to be very hit and miss, and the decor was awful, it felt like a high school cafeteria. I know it's changed hands a couple of times, and I was VERY pleasantly surprised last night.

Walking in the door, it felt much warmer and welcoming, with natural lighting and much more decorative tables, Service was very quick and friendly. I had the New York Style Panini, corned beef was great, sandwich was pressed perfectly. My girlfriend had the flight of soup and salad bar. The salad bar is modest, but still a good variety of items. Our server was attentive and the manager/owner checked in with us a couple of times. We'll be back, I'm looking forward to sampling their breakfast menu!

It is a friendly neighborhood diner atmosphere, with friendly wait staff and an owner and chef that walks the diner and makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves and the food. The food is good here, I had their take on a Monte Cristo sandwich, which was different than I've had before, but still tasty. The fries were good too. I look forward to going back and trying other items on their vast menu!

Haven't been here in a while, so we decided to go out for breakfast. The food is still good and plentiful. Service was prompt and courteous. Prices were very affordable. I still get a chuckle when I think about the time a piece of construction equipment tried turning the diner into a drive-through restaurant

If you love soup you need to come here. They have over a half dozen soups rotating daily. All are out of this world. If you love breakfast their platters are huge and their eggs are always perfectly cooked. If you love food come here. It's the best in the area. Stay in or take it to go, either way you won't regret it.

I go for breakfast sometimes but have not ever been disappointed. The food is good and there is plenty of variety for breakfast. The staff takes care to quickly take the order and they check on our needs but they aren't pushy. Pricing is reasonable for breakfast. I haven't been there for other meals but I do recommend stopping in.

They have all kind of soups that are amazing.
And you can get a combination of three soups with a salad for fifteen dollars.
You can't beat it.
Service with a smile.
Place is clean.
And the soups are delicious.

Excellent! The food was very good at a fair price. It's not fancy but very good. Our waitress took great care of us. The cashier very helpful.

This diner is excellent! Love the food and its prices. Pot pie and stuffed cabbage are my favorites! Friendly staffs and the hosts or owner checks on you too.

Five stars all around Diner. Delicious coffee that tasted fresh even after the lunch rush, top notch onion rings with MUST HAVE marinara sauce, perfect crispiness on the bacon, home fries, and french fries capped with a mini key lime pie with LEGIT crust. Wonderful staff, can't wait to go back!

My extremely picky toddler who refuses to eat anything that isn't pierogies or waffles, absolutely destroyed the cream of potato and leek soup. I've never seen anything like it. We will definitely be back, ordering 3x as much, because we wanted some soup too. She let each parent try 1 bite, but the rest was hers. Can't wait to try the other soups! picky eater toddler says 5/5 stars.

Found this little gem from a friend. The soup flight is to die for!!! Amazing assortment daily of soups to choose from. Other food we had was hot and delicious too!! Definitely will be back, recommend!!😋😋

It was lovely until I saw a lady fall after getting her own salad. Staff and manager very attentive to the lady, until she asked for an injury report, then the manager was defensive and refused her the accident/injury report. Shame he didn’t know how to help her.

Food was very good. Traveled about 30 minutes to try out the soup flights and it was worth it! The owner was very friendly and the staff was attentive.

Always great food. And the staff makes you feel like family. It's definitely a regular spot for me.

Went on a busy Friday night! Soup was fabulous! Our waiter Adam was fantastic - he was working so hard but was so attentive to each table.
