I've lived in the area for awhile but next knew about this park until recently. A nice place to walk. Mostly easy trails but there are a few places that are moderately challenging so wear good boots or hiking sneakers.

Note: there are two entrances to the park, one on Main Street just south of Barnsboro and on Pitman Rd just south of Jefferson Rd.

What a gem of a local park. Been familiar with this spot for years as a place of refuge, but committed to a long walk and exploration this fall. Great example of Jersey’s swampy beauty. Trees are alive with bird songs, especially now, and you can hear: great horned owls, sparrows, geese and song birds. Choose your own adventure kind of place. Some people enjoy walking their dogs, others get their steps in, and also welcoming to riverside naturalist observations.

Very nice shaded trail to walk, even if you wander off your trail it's easy to get back.

Friendly people around and all around a nice place!

This is one of my favorite places. I love going into the woods and just looking around. I go here to clear my mind. It is also doggo friendly. Please be respectful when in hear because it is a free park for all to enjoy. Many different routes for you to take.

Big, beautiful open space to stretch your legs. Trails loop into each other and had no difficulty getting back to parking lot. Great place to walk dog.

Easy to get turned around, and some difficult terrain, but absolutely beautiful. Fair ammount of water and mud, so don't wear shoes you are afraid to ruin.

Awesome park for a family hike! There are some steep hills and obstacles throughout for the bike riders, which looks like a ton of fun.

Great place to hike. Not just a flat walk. Beautiful wooded area.

Trails cross each other alot making it a little confusing to stay on course.

It's popular. Many people and dogs there even in January! Lots of mountain bikes too.

We took the long walk and absolutely loved it. It was so nice to walk by the water for so much of the hike. This looks like a great place to go picnic in the summer with the family. Would definitely go back.

This is a dream park for trailers. Great and varied terrain. We went at the end of July. Lots of vegetation and the trails are close in but enough to walk through comfortably. Can't wait to get back since we only walked a couple miles as my daughter hurt her ankle recently and couldn't do much more. Some streams.

Great park with trails that lead into woodsy and small cliff areas. Great to take dogs. Saw mountain bikers and joggers, although it is not good terrain for straight jogging as the pathways can be muddy, narrow and very uneven in certain areas.

Let's face it....per square mile new Jersey is the most populated state in the country (besides the district of columbia)
Yet still you find some gems to wonder and gaze upon.
Ceres is a beautiful little utopia and a perfect small hike getaway.
Flowers and trees fill the setting as you walk through it's pathways and honestly it's a well received breath of fresh air.
Picnic table and trash can in the parking section and always remember to leave it cleaner then When you arrived.
Try it out sometime and walk freely.
