We had a wonderful stay. Julie and John were so helpful! We were going to the Kentucky Derby and the bus we paid for canceled our reservations one week before the race! Julie went beyond to find another service to take us there.
They worked hard at trying to accommodate us.

The most beautiful grounds and stay..
Thanks again,
Jim and Kathy

We got a Great RV Spot, 35 feet from the North side of the Ohio River... The gentle sounds of the Big Tow Boats going up river, with their 15 Barge tows was Magical. The ones going down river can barely be heard, as they aren't working as hard, going with the flow of the river. The Camp Hosts were Exceptional, Very Helpful, Knowledgeable, and Friendly. The General Store in Leavenworth was also Excellent.

View of Ohio River from all sites! Great little floating dock next to boat ramp to watch barges and boaters go by. River not accessible from camp sites. Well maintained, clean campground with FHU, fairly level, trees for shade. Great stay! It is worth going the few miles off the highway, on the narrow, curvy road with a 12% grade. Thank you!

OMG! What a piece of heaven! If you want a place to really get away and decompress, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! The spaces are spacious and leveled! Having the Ohio River as your view is beautiful and the people who run it are kind, informative and helpful. We were checking in after dark and the lady texted us a place to park until the morning. It is not recommended to try to come after dark, the roads are narrow and steep. It is best to park at the Walmart and come the next day. If you need WiFi the Star-link works great! Otherwise, no internet available.

Great campground!! Manger awesome!! Super helpful and kind😊 Campground clean, well maintained, beautiful view of Ohio river, large level gravel sites, full hookups. Off the interstate so quiet peaceful but paved road all the way. Playground and basketball court for kids. Lots of room to walk dog! Traveling through but would definitely come back.

When we called, we found out there was no Wi-Fi or Internet service, that was GREAT no pesty calls from our kids (ages 21 & 23). I was also told that check in is after 2PM & check out is before NOON, so RVs are not trying to pass on the narrow, hilly road down to the RV campground. I received a text message giving me directions, if I had relied on my GPS, I would have missed the left turn before the red barn. I asked the manager or owner & was directed to my site. I had a hard time backing into the site, it was my first time & I had no backup cameras, that mistake is corrected now! I got the Electric & Water connected & unhitched my vehicle. Then we checked in & went to eat @ the Overlook Restaurant, as suggested by our hosts. We came back & had a very peaceful sleep. We got up refreshed after our long trip, we took off early to Indiana Caverns & many other places. One morning there was a heard of deer passing by, as I was hooking up the wastewater drain. We had a fantastic, several days stay it was so quiet & relaxing. If I didn't have a doctor's appointment, I would have stayed longer. The morning I left, I got everything packed up, put my JEEP in 4-wheel drive high & pulled my toy-hauler slowly up the hill, I met no one on the way out.

20 years ago our truck broke down on the highway. We were pulling a 38ft 5th wheel. Tow driver helped us get to this park. We were there for three nights. Never saw a living sole. Upon leaving we looked for any way to pay or info on how to pay. Nothing! So we just left. It's beautiful! Extremely quiet except for barges on river. We were backed to the Ohio River. Barges at night had spotlights on. Scared me to death. Also parked under a hedge apple tree. Thought the buggy man was coming for us.... lol! We loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay! The view from our camp site was beautiful. Quiet, well maintained campground. Perfect location to easily get to several caves. If you go, be sure to visit the Overlook as well. I would stay at this campground again!

Full hook up and right on the river. You can set next or behind your camper and feel the breeze roll off of the water (but you are safe distance -and height- from river in case of flooding) while enjoying your morning routine or night by a campfire.

Campground is completely rocked and there is a laundry house and small store. No bathhouse, but with full hook up there's not a water issue. You can choose riverside or be away from the river, they're all the same price.

Very friendly people, and my favorite, quiet. We had sites 26 and 27.

A very relaxing campground on the Ohio river with large sites. Doug and Linda, the camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. I like the all gravel sites because it minimizes the dirt tracked into the rv. There are grassy areas to enjoy and walk your dog.

I really love this campground. The wifi is very strong. It is located right on the Ohio River and the campsites are amongst some very very mature trees. We enjoy watching the barges go by and we really enjoy the wildlife.

What a lovely quiet place that is genuinely charming. I really enjoyed myself there, I was simply a visitor but I can tell you that I would absolutely without any reservations camp there. This is one place you can feel right at home. Deer were everywhere

Tucked in below a bluff on the shores of the Ohio. Nice and quiet. Friendly hosts. Beautiful spot. Steep hill in and out. And little if any cell coverage

We spent six nights at Horsehoe Bend Campground at Leavenworth, Indiana in our RV (no tent camping). We loved it--the campground's owner and employees are helpful and friendly, the only noise comes from the barges going down the river, and the sites are level with full hook-ups. We camped next to the river and sat in our lawn chairs just below our RV and watched the river flow.
The campground is pet-friendly, has a boat dock, and also has a small laundry area (we didn't use it, so I can't comment on the building itself or how it worked).
The campground provides 70 RV sites and two cabins (I think two, perhaps one) for rent. Using our antenna, we were able to pick up two stations.
I would happily go back tomorrow.

For anyone who seeks a quiet and clean get away. River views and plenty of local attractions steeped in history. And the fish are biting.
