North Santiam State Recreation Area

Great park, camping available plenty of spots. Plenty of room for activities and you can fish. The water is shallow enough to let the kids play, iit does have bigger rounds rocks on the bed so you'd have to keep shoes on. Good tails to walk on

Nice little beach, always busy, though, and lots of kiddos and a camp host RV. It burned half way last big fire so hiking around is a no go.

I love this little park. It's quiet has a ton of parking, clean bathrooms lots of picnic tables open to the public (for free) there's a couple of campsites (pay) awesome river access, trails and a large covered area. Unfortunately, and this kills me it caught on fire about a month ago and isn't open yet. I don't know the extent of the damage but i know that access is denied into the park at this time. So be patient and when it does reopen check it out

Well worth the ride from Salem, a great olace for tubing floating swimming camping picnicking hiking and its where our service dog pup took her official first swim! Way to go Artles!

Cool place, more trails than I thought. Looks like a nice place to camp when it's open. Looking forward to fly fishing there when I get back into fishing. Enjoy your time there it's really cool.

Just a beautiful park off highway 22 a couple of miles past Lyons on the Santiam river..all of the ammenities,beautiful bend on the river for fishing swimming bbq!

Honestly one of the BEST places I've ever camped. Inexpensive, sites are so clean, amazing, gracious hosts, clean bathrooms and RIGHT ON THE RIVER! New tradition for our family. We will be back.

They've been doing some sprucing up the place with a cute little garden bed and the new family/ companion restrooms are great!!

Beautiful fresh and clear water. The area is clean and well-maintained. It's a serene place for a picnic, fishing and swimming. The water is very cold, but that's the pacific northwest.

Beautiful place with easy access to the river. Nice picnic spots. Fairly cleaned up, though there are still trees downed from the fires last year, from what I saw, they are off the pathways.

My kids grew up here. We will always return even tho it looks so different now after the fires. It's still a peaceful place and the Santiam is our favorite river

Beautiful little camping area. It is first come first serve so if you are looking for a weekend get away be sure to try and get in early because there is only like 20 spots but it's great. Right up by the water, dog friendly, there are restrooms but no showers so small trips are best.

A serene little place to spend a sunny afternoon. It has a few trails that aren't too long or taxing on your body. I love going here for a short hike or lunch outside in the summer. As far as public park restrooms go, these are nice. They offer tent camping spots as well.
