Harmonie State Park

Humungous gorgeous scenic state park. Friendly people all around. Very clean and well maintained. Very affordable. Big enough to be full of fun and still have room for private alone time. Great trails all along a beautiful river. Amazing camping sites too.

I'm a new regular.

We drove here from Georgia for the solar eclipse on 4-8-24 and our experience was wonderful! I wish we had more time to explore the trails, the park was beautiful! The staff and volunteers were so great. Everything was organized and stress-free. The food offerings were great and the bathrooms were clean! Thank you for an amazing eclipse experience!

A sizeable park with boat access to the Wabash River, as well as miles of foot and bike trails. Some of the bridges and crossings are down, but overall it's easy to navigate the trails.

We had a 2wk stay here. This is a nice sized campground with spacious sites. We had site 191, which was a large corner site. It was great during the week because there weren't a lot of campers, but the wkends had us looking right into the back of the site in front of us. There was a water spigot right next to our site that made it easy to fill up as needed. The bathrooms and 3 showers in our area were clean and had hot water. There's quite a few trails to walk, bike, or horse ride, along with the roads around the park. There was a lot of wildlife and nature to see. There's a park store with a few grocery items, fishing supplies, and souvenirs. They put on interactive activities at the nature center and serve ice cream for $3 on Saturdays. We were there for the harvest craft show, which was a big to do, very interesting and fun time.

We stayed in a family cabin on one of the coldest weekends and we were all comfortable. Great hiking trails and we plan to return in the spring.

Nice cabins for a weekend get away. Our teenagers enjoyed the hiking trails.

Beautiful campsites... grass on both sides, wooded setting with gravel to park on. Only had 30 amp hookups (use 50 amp), but worked just fine for our short stay. Water is nearby according to the map but we didn't spot it when we were setting up.
Can reserve spot online & pay... still hv to pay to get in Park...$7 IN plates or $9 out of state.

Nice big level sites. Very clean and park staff has been excellent. There are lots of playgrounds and multiple bath houses. I would recommend this park for camping for sure!

Harmonie State Park is a hidden gem! Beautiful scenery! Wonderful hiking! Challenging MTB trails! Close to the river so there’s lots of wildlife. Also close to New Harmony, IN which is a town worth exploring. The history of New Harmony is a piece of Americana. It ought to be taught in grade schools. It’s a part of how this country was populated. We’re in a 34’ fifth wheel and there’s plenty of room. Enjoy!

Absolutely love this park. Well kept, lots of picnic and shelter areas. Beautiful open areas. Unfortunately too many people letting dogs loose so can be difficult to bring your own dogs.

This is an excellent park. The campgrounds are well maintained, the bathrooms are clean, and there are multiple hiking trails. The trailheads are a little hidden, but the park rangers are extremely helpful and will come up to you and ask if you'd like help. (Say yes, they are a wealth of knowledge).

Wonderful park, great trails for all, hoof or foot. Super campground with 200 sites. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Plus the largest pool around our area. Wildlife is abundant, two legged or four. Personnel are very helpful and friendly. The Wabash River runs along the park. This is a very historic river.

Great place to camp. Clean bathrooms and quiet. Raccoons fighting in the bush. Friendly staff and rustic cabins. The down side is that the mower needs to put the shroud down on the lawnmower and respect people's property. The chip in my windshield was not pleasant. Stay away from the mower.

Awesome place to go camping! Everyone is always friendly, and there is usually enough room to get a ‘lot’ (space) with some privacy. Good bathrooms, as far as campgrounds go.

This place is great. I like walking in the woods and searching for morels. We found a snake the other day that I have never seen so that was cool. If anyone can tell me what it is I would really like to know. Only thing we watch out for is ticks. But thats everywhere.

I was there working doing some Geotechnical drilling for a future waste water treatment plant. We broke down so I and a coworker had time to explore, only downfall we didn't have mountain bikes. I will tell you if we did we definitely wouldn't of gone back to work!

An awesome park with friendly and helpful Naturalist and volunteers. Ask about the Explore Program and State Park pins. It is a terrific way to get into nature and help out the park! There is a great pool and the walking trails were well kept. An overall enjoyable park and I would highly recommend a visit. Find what nature has to offer.

Tent camped. Restrooms were clean. Hiking trails were nice. Dog friendly.

Great variety of activities, the mighty Wabash River, and you can hunt for morels! And we found plenty.🙂
