Charger House Restaurant

It's a hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere but I am telling you this place is good. They serve fish, they're known for their fish and it's killer. But if fish isn't your thing they got fresh chicken, beef. If you leave there hungry you're not right. That's all I can say. Friendly staff too. The place is highly busy though and tightly cramped. But the waitresses moved fast as did the cooks to make it right. Easily worth the extra drive even if we had to wait a few minutes. Best of all we felt as if it was a good value. We definitely will be back.

Stopped for a late lunch. Heard fish was their specialty, so I had to try the 3 PC fish lunch special. I recommend upgrading to waffle fries. The fish and their tarter sauce were amazing! Great seasoning on the fish breading and a sweet tarter sauce reminding me of the original fish of stroh's in ft wayne but better fish here. Cole Slaw was good. Variety on menu and also serve breakfast. Highly recommend. Pricing was good for what you get. Careful driving as it's not marked well, and you could drive right by it.

Ate there for the first time last Sunday. Loved the fish dinner. Waiter was very nice and really enjoyed the Elvis Presley signs on the walls. Next time will have to try the hush puppies

Everyone is always very polite and friendly!!! The food is great. For breakfast The TJ is awesome!! And for lunch you can’t go wrong with the Fish!!!

This is my all-time favorite restaurant! The staff is friendly and the food is even better. It is typically packed every Friday and Saturday evening, so be prepared to wait a bit. They also close super early. Around 7:30 on Friday and Saturday, I believe. We have never once had a bad meal here, and we have been coming for years. Its just a comfortable, homey feeling place. They are known for their fish, but everything we have had aside from that is fantastic too!

Not a fancy place for sure. I don't care about that though. I go for the food! The fish is as good as Gropp's used to be, if you remember or know of that. It's fantastic! Not greasy or heavily breaded. Mild. The fries were even better than most! This is worth your trip to give it a shot! ☺

Probably the best fish we've ever had!

Great fish and the staff was very friendly. We both ordered the fish dinner and the waitress told us if we ordered one larger meal instead of 2 smaller ones ...we would get more bang for our buck....but we would have to share the sides. Well, heck yes we did that! Food was brought out fast and hot. Keep up the great service Charge House! You are appreciated!

I've eaten here for years. The fish and chicken are excellent. Ask for "season salt" on the tater tots......

My Grandpa used to bring me here when I was a kid. We happened to be in town, and I needed to take my kids. It didn't disappoint. The kids had some wonderful fish, and the burger was perfect. Thanks for the memories.

Excellent service and food. Had to wait to be seated because it was full, but worth the wait, which was only 10 minutes.
