Bull Pen Cafe

My mom and I often go here for lunch on Friday's and get their Fish. It's a small town diner, not a lot of decor (which keeps prices down! ) it's kept clean and we're always greeted with a smile.

There's a two door entryway in front which does a decent job of keeping the cold winter winds out as patrons are coming and going. It would be difficult for a wheelchair, however, with a little advance notice the staff and patrons would do their best to help with the doors to ease that access.

Western omelet and Western skillet were awesome. Waitress was polite, quick, and answered all our questions. First time here will definitely stop again if in the area.

Stumbled upon this place while going to the outlet mall. Awesome food. I got the Smokin Joe skillet and was not disappointed. And the over medium eggs in top were cooked perfectly. We will be back when we are in the area!

This place is worth a stop. We are heading toward Toledo from Chicago and wanted something that wasn’t fast food for dinner but didn’t want to take too much time off of our drive. So we found the Bullpen Cafe online and called ahead to order our meals to go. The building is old but immaculate! I’m not kidding. The owner was literally cleaning as I came in to use the restroom. Super nice by the way! I noticed the dining room was spotless as well. The food was hot and on time. 20 minutes as promised. My daughter said her chicken bacon ranch wrap was the best she’s had. My husband ordered an omelette and I had the smothered chicken -all delicious! They had a great menu. We had a hard time making a choice… it all sounded great. I wish I would have taken photos. The meals looked great… even in to-go containers. This is the kind of place I like to support. We are planning to stop again on the way back home! Thanks for the great meal and friendly atmosphere. Just a small town diner but they do it right. The scratch pies, clean environment, and food prepared proper is why we go back. Staff is always great, timely, and quick to fill a coffee. 8f you're into the round table, there's one at each end.

Highly recommend this off the beat and path piece of small town America.

We had a large party and restaurant was extremely busy. We were seated quickly and waitress told us approximately how long of wait time for our food ( like 45 minutes). Well worth the wait. Everything was delicious and large portions.

We were in town for the holiday weekend and stopped in for breakfast. What a GEM!!!

My family was taking a car trip from Indiana to Michigan and we stopped in at Bull Pen Cafe about 10 minutes before they closed on a Sunday. It was about the only thing open aside from fast food joints. Rather than being rushed with us, the friendly staff greeted us, let us know the kitchen was closing soon, and asked if we would like to put in an order. Our lunches came out quickly and everything was delicious - Philly cheese steak hoagie for me, breakfast sandwich for my wife, chicken strips and chicken bacon ranch for the boys, and cheese sandwich for the baby. Service was attentive and despite our late arrival, they made us feel welcome and relaxed. Before our food came and without asking our waitress brought us some crackers and apple sauce for the baby, who she could tell was hungry. We had a great lunch here and would recommend it to anybody. If we are back in Fremont we'll definitely be back. Thanks Bill Pen Cafe!

Third time here for breakfast and they never disappoint. Great food, hometown feel with great service. Looking forward to my fourth visit.

Had a fantastic breakfast. But I was most impressed by the young lady waitress. Abby. Very busy place lots of tables in 2 separate rooms. And she handled all of it. Swiftly. Professionally. And constantly smiling. And every customer was happy. I haven't seen this type of service in 40 years. She is a priceless jewel.

Awesome staff, HUGE portions of amazing food! This diner is a crown jewel in the small, seasonal lake community of Fremont, Indiana... Homemade desserts, fork-tender ribeyes and arguably one of the best breakfasts in the country..NO JOKE!!! Go early if it's a weekend in the summer, especially holidays, the place gets busy, and for good reason! If you're still reading this, just go already!! You owe it to yourself and your children!!!

Best hash browns with onions I have ever had at a restaurant!

Finally, a restaurant that knows how to cook hashbrowns, the omlett was great and biscuits were tender. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Can't beat the price. We will probably be back for dinner.

Food was fantastic ! The waitress Vana was wonderful I ordered eggs and cornbeef and My husband ordered the deluxe burger and fries 🍟. Most definitely come back
