Grand Hotel in Lviv

Stayed here for a week and couldn’t be happier.
The staff were excellent, attention to detail and personalized service was incredible.

The hotel is a mid sized/smaller hotel with a higher end boutique feel but doesn’t compromise on amenities like many boutique hotels do.

I checked out the casino during the day but didn’t get a chance to get down to see it on the weekend evenings. It was smaller but much more plush compared to North American Casinos.
I did spend some time in the spa.
The massages were great and the overall spa amenities were excellent. Wonderful place to unwind after a day of exploring the city.

The hotel has been carefully updated, the design is fresh and current while still honoring it’s historic past.
The room came with a breakfast buffet that was great, I got a bit tired of it after a week and went to some brilliant restaurants nearby.

Location couldn’t be better, you are right in the heart of everything. It made exploring this wonderful city on foot such a delight. I loved the city and will be back, I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else.

*the bar is brilliant and I had an old fashioned there that is easily one of the 3 best I’ve ever had in my life.

Really enjoyed our stay there. The massages were great, bed very comfortable, breakfast had a great selection of sweet treats.

All my 5☆ reviews mean fully nothing after this place. It's change my mind about service at all. The best. Highly recommend Thank you guys for this day 🥰

Top hotel in Lviv very welcoming staff top service

The hotel has everything for convenient rest or working process. Be honest, this is my favourite place to stay, always when I come to Lviv.

A charming hotel, great location, excellent rooms and very good service. This hotel is very careful about the service, from opening the doors for you, through preparing your personal teapot at breakfast to an immediate response if you accidentally forget your safe number :-). The shower has cozy underfloor heating. Breakfast is very good, varied. If you ask for coffee the waiters bring it from the lobby bar of the hotel, which means you get excellent coffee, and decorated, but after a relatively long time. The hotel has a back exit from the lobby to the alleys with good restaurants and interesting, you should pay attention to this convenient exit. The lobby bar has exceptional dynamic lighting and looks different at different times. We loved the place very much.

Excellent location. Beautiful building.. Amazing staff especially the reception manager M. Rashid who made our stay a memorable experience. Great facilities and Spa. The hotel was fully booked and they upgraded our room to a wonderful room without extra charge. Customer service in Ukraine is usually not great but this hotel staff is exceptional!

Really nice historic hotel right in the middle of the town center. Right by the opera house and other major points of interest. The hotel has a good restaurant spa, pool, and casino. Rooms are nice and decently large. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Update Stay Dec, 2021 - Stayed in a suite overlooking the square. As before simply outstanding service and incredible hotel. As you can see while my initial experience here a year ago was bumpy i can say that this hotel has improved their staff's service 1000 fold. The only bad thing about this is that every-time i come to Lviv i am not even considering any other properties as i cannot give up this place's location, and quality of service. 👌

Update --- Stayed here again in May 2021 for a few days. Everything was excellent, service improved or at least seemed to be better.

Came back and stayed again in August 2021, amazing experience.
Looking forward to spending a few days here again in November 2021. Can't really get myself to book anything also as this place is top notch not only location but also the amenities here.

Original: Stayed here for a few days with friends. Booked two rooms. Great hotel building and amenities, most staff is great and attentive. But overall this is not 5 star service by any measure. Starting with checkin which was 3 hrs late and one of the rooms was still not ready and front desk staff didn’t seem empowered to do anything like upgrade etc or even offer water or something while we waited until I pressed them on it and they switched floors for one of the rooms. But no upgrade and checkin 3.5 hrs late for one of the rooms.

Great hotel in the city center of Lviv with Sofie restaurant where you may eat on the first floor or on the terrace with the amazing view. Spa only for guests with a few saunas and other facilities. Cool bar and nice personnel.

Really nice hotel, the staff are very good, most courteous and professional and they speak good English. The rooms are a good size with modern design and have all the amenities you'd expect.

The breakfast was good, plenty of options both cooked and cold, sweet and savoury.

Would certainly stay here again!

Great hotel! HOW the 'George' gets rated barely lower than this hotel amazes me. There was NO comparison.

The room was a hotel room - at the George it was not even the level of a Hostel room. And the staff was professional.

When visiting Lviv, I would recommend the Hostel across the street, or this hotel. The Grand costs more, but it was worth it.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxury break in Lviv. It is very central and close to the opera. The staff were amazing and helpful throughout our stay. The price was also very reasonable for the level of quality and amenities provided.

Very comfortable, good size and full of all the standard things I would expect from a 5*. We really appreciated the daily delivery of macaroons and glass bottles of water to the room, and the offer to have different types of pillows (i.e goose down, hypoallergenic etc). I also liked that the room had an ironing board and iron in the cupboard.
The room was very clean and they followed our request to be in a top floor room with a bath.
Minor issues & suggestions for improvement: -
1) The thermostat could not be lowered below 20 degrees Celsius.
2) The bath was also quite small for a 5* hotel, especially for someone who is 6ft 3 tall like me.
3) Bathroom doesn’t have a low voltage shaver socket
4) When you leave the room you take the key card out the slot by the door, which not only turns off all the lights but (frustratingly) all the power sockets too. You cannot leave a phone or laptop charging while away from the room, unless you get a 2nd card and leave it in the slot.

The breakfast was excellent and there was a huge variety. English breakfast with different types of sausages, fried eggs, pancakes, breads, biscuits, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit and more. Different milks, drinking yogurts, salads, nuts, dried fruits. To drink there was orange juice, apple juice, coffee and a variety of teas.
The breakfast atmosphere was very comfortable and spacious with good seating, and coffee was served at the tables.
My only suggestion to management would be regarding the croissants, which were a bit doughy and should ideally have been served warm.

The Spa

The spa was possibly the best we ever experienced at a hotel. There are multiple types of saunas, a well-equipped gym and a large Jacuzzi. Good sized swimming pool with many waterjets, surrounded by many sun loungers. Everything was very luxurious with a good use of lighting. There are a range of spa treatments, although I only tried the ‘classic full body massage’ which was very relaxing.
There is also something called a “hay room”, which although confusing at first, was oddly relaxing after a sauna.
Included in my hotel booking was a massage for a discounted rate of 1000 UAH, but after the massage I was presented with a 1500 UAH bill. It was resolved at checkout but ideally this confusion shouldn’t occur at a 5*.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying again next time we visit Lviv.

One of the best places to stay in. Excellent service and great staff . Highly recommended.
