Lazy Lagoon Island Lodge

A location as no other in the East Africa coastal area. An amazing & wonderful place to relax, rest and enjoy during holidays. And what an incredible value for money, indeed.

Lazy lagoon is a 30min boat ride from Bagamoyo. The place is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views from every cabin.
Our stay was comfortable, the staff Winnie, Witness and many more were very helpful. Always smiling and willing to accommodate your needs. Sarah the manager was very sweet and helpful. The dogs Danny and Timmy were super friendly. Food was yummy and plentiful with many delicious varieties.
We had electricity most hours of the day and night; hot water was available depending on amount of sun due to solar heating. internet was good in the main lounge.
We enjoyed beach walks and relaxing in the balcony.

I really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Lagoon. We went as a big group of sailors, sailing from the Dar Yacht Club all the way to Lazy Lagoon. Jane really made sure we were all comfortable and well taken care of.
It's a simple yet beautiful place. The view is gorgeous and the space is peaceful. The food was good and there was always coffee at the ready, which all the tired sailors appreciated. The only downside is we didn't have much time to explore, so I'll have to go back with more time.

Just imagine this. Sitting in your balcony, with sea waves splashing just below.

This beautiful place is located on an island, where you have to travel by a boat from FETA. Once you reach, you are greeted by the Manager with welcome drink.

The rooms/house have two floors with 4 beds and a huge bathroom. It's like a provate beach, you enjoy as much you want. They have a pool also, in front of the restaurant.

Food was limited but delicious. They provide buffet for lunch and dinner.

My daughter enjoyed a lot. We had a good time here.

We absolutely loved our time at Lazy Lagoon, from the moment we got on the boat we had so much fun!
It is such a beautiful place and so nice to get back to nature. Food was great, staff were amazing and rooms were so nice with the most amazing views!

This Hotel and the overall service is really fantastic. All the houses are directly at the beach, in case of flood this means less then 10 meters. Restaurant and lobby were very nice - pool clean, nothing to complain.

The best surprise was the food - very tasty and perfectly cooked with a small Italian touch! Why that in Tansania? The new manager in place has some Italian roots, I guess he influenced the cook a little bit and overall he did very well in the last year...

Overall - a great place to relaxe a couple of days - see / sun / water and more!

Me and my squad chose Lazy Lagoon because it was far away from the Battle Bus and we wanted to loot up. Best choice we could have made! The ship was huge and had tons of loot, and even had cannons so we could rotate out of storm. The water wasn’t very deep, so we had to revive one of our squad mates, but we had a Medkit so we were fine. With our loot from Lazy Lagoon, we were able to get the epic victory royale! Would highly recommend to anyone trying to get a dub!

Every element comes together to create a slice of paradise. From the friendly staff, the awesome manager and the dogs who welcome you into the pack, Lazy Lagoon is by far my best local getaway. Sets the standards for local tourism and shows how good things be when done right.

Love this please! Give them a call to book some the only down side is that they aren't on booking platforms. (Come on guys, pick it up, don't bye allergic to money)!

That said: this is such a wonderful place, remote with a wonderful staff. Rooms are comfy and private overlooking the ocean while there is plenty to do. This is a perfect gateway place if you need a weekend out of Dar.

Can't wait to go back again.

A hidden gem off the coast of Bagamoyo. Accessible only by boat, we had the most magnificent stay at this tropical paradise. Looked after like royalty by managers Charlie and Tim and their fabulous staff, I would highly recommend Lazy Lagoon.

Thanks for some wonderful Days in your Place. How nice to be out of reach for all mobiles, internet, tv etc. and just enjoying the tranquility of your lovely Place. We have stayed in many places all over the World and have had some real good food-experiences too. But we must say that what your staff at the L.L. served us during our stay should earn a couple of stars in the Micheline recording system. Thanks again and if we come that way again we know for sure where to stay!

Wonderful island lodge. Great service and lovely food! Great please to relax and rejuvenate. Highly recommended.

We stayed here about five years ago with family who live in Dar. Best place I have ever stayed. Great food. Great service. Amazing scenery. We will be hopefully going back again later this year when we visit the relatives.

Bes place to stay after a Safari! Very nice and friendly people there and also excellent food. I will miss the last 3 days!!

Paradise on Earth! A great place with only 10 chalets and a nice restaurant with fresh seafood.
Here you will find peace!!

Very good for white space, solitude and if you want to get away from the busy lifestyle
