We ate many places in central Kalkan but this was by far the best. The location on the cobbled streets and under the pink flowers is beautiful, you can see and feel the history and is the perfect place to sit and people watch.
The service was IMPECCABLE and every dish was just delicious, I would especially recommend the calves liver and sardines. We plan to visit Kalkan again but only if we come to Salonika for all our evenings out in town!

I can say with absolute certainty that it was the best service!
Amazing atmosphere and most importantly delicious food that is cooked with a big love! ❤Thank you Dede for the warm welcome! By the way, the cigar was a nice bonus at the end!

I would give them more stars if I could. The food, the service, the owner are all very kind, and you feel how they love their job, and they understand the food and pairing raki. If you want recommendations, ask them. We had çitlenbik, midye pilav with kavun, lalezar, something with turp(I don’t remember the exact name, I blame the raki for that 🙄), şakşuka, Ezine cheese, and melon with Beylerbeyi raki. The atmosphere is lovely for a casual raki or a romantic night with loved ones. The guests have a beautiful energy that will make you raise your hands with sweet Turkish and Greek songs by the end of the night.

We ate here this evening despite the mixed reviews we read here on TripAdvisor and let's just say, this is the first 5* review I've ever left!

This is a charming establishment situated down a bustling alley brimming with pink flowers-very picturesque and great if you like people-watching.

Having an extensive mystery shopping background, I am always aware of the customer service experience and tonight was very impressed by the attentive service that I received: our drinks were constantly topped up, the waiting staff knew the menu well and were able to make recommendations and they provided regular cleaning and fresh cutlery. (Even the wet wipes smelled incredible!)

Bountiful freshly-baked bread and homemade dips were offered and replenished. I was almost full by the time the starters arrived!

The house wine was perfectly drinkable at £10/bottle.

Starters- baked feta for me and the calimari for my better half. Both were sublime.

Main- lamb shank and mousakka. Again, couldn't fault them. Generous serving sizes, too.

Dessert- the baklava and creme caramel were simply divine, although I'm not sure how we had room for them! Needless to say, we rolled home.

In total, for 3 courses with alcohol, our bill was £50.

Would I eat here again? In a heartbeat! Thanks, Salonica!

They serve more than 300 tables every night and they serve great food plus they serve very fast. Despite the crowd. We had some of their signature tapas. The ones with zucchini and hackberry were especially good. the grilled octopus was so soft you almost don't need to have teeth to eat it. Kalamari was also great. One other great thing is that you can find Ouzo (plomari).

Had a lovely meal here. Such a lovely choice on the menu and we all enjoyed what we had. They gave you lots of extras too. Lovely cocktails as well. The staff were very friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely go if you are in the area. Very well priced too.

On a higher street of Kalkan a step away from the frantic melee in a gorgeous canyon of white walls and bourgenvilla. The cocktails are tasty and the food excellent. The moussaka stripped of its usual bechamel sauce was better for it and the richness lingers beautifully. A mixed seafood platter was nicely balanced.

Mezes were unique and very delicious. Fish was very well done, well grilled but juicy. Staff was very nice, too. Highly recommend.

Amazing service..delicoius food and very nice outdoor seating area.

Although it was crowded the waiter has showed care and tried to find us a table and was apologizing and attentive.

Excellent restaurant with first class staff. There is an outside bar that serves lovely cocktails and the normal run of the mill drinks.
Good selection on the menu. The food was first class, served by nice friendly staff in a beautiful location. Will certainly be returning on my next visit to Kalkan.

Rezul and Yasin did the most INCREDIBLE job of helping us to organise our after wedding reception. We couldn’t think of a better place to dance the night away than at Salonika bar, and it certainly did not disappoint! They closed the bar to allow us and our 40 guests to spend the evening after our ceremony and dinner, enjoying delicious cocktails and dancing to some great music, all with thanks to Deha for his DJ talents! We just wish we could do it all again!
