Black Mountain Wake Park

Recommended experience for Wakeboard lovers, calm but exciting event. Non wakers company can buy coffee snacks to chill there. Previous Wake experience and know how to swim is preferred. Hire the better board if you are a more serious player for sure. Before coming, you will probably need a car, change of swimwear and half a day’s time. Book or at least call before going. Enjoy! (Pls fix the pick up boat so beginners like me can get back easier)

As a local resident who's witnessed Black Mountain Wakepark's evolution, it's clear that it's seen better days. Once a regional standout, it now hovers between mediocrity.

For beginners, it still serves as a reliable training ground due to its minimal obstacles, ideal for building water sports confidence. However, the park is in dire need of renovation. Outdated facilities, a lack of seating, absence of music, slow food service, and the absence of a gear shop are glaring issues that need addressing.

Experienced riders and pros may find the park underwhelming compared to Phuket or Bangkok, given its limited feature offerings. For a more thrilling and diverse experience, exploring other wakeparks in different destinations might be a better choice.

We were on Friday May 19-Not open.
Only Saturday and Sunday.
Apparently the schedule is different during the low season. On the site and even on the sign at the wake park itself: Friday-Saturday.
It's a pity!
Perhaps, in the low season you need to check the schedule in advance

According to their google listing, they are open on Friday…we went all the way there on Friday and it was closed…called them and they say actually they are not open on Friday, only Saturday and Sunday….went there again today Sunday, and incredibly they were closed again…called them and this time they said there is not enough water…incredible…

Could be so much more but seems to be running for a loss. The park is rarely open, is run down, and overpriced compared to all other wake parks in Thailand. This wake park has so much potential but is horribly mismanaged. Too bad :-(

UPDATE: And now it is closed, what a waste of a perfect location for what could have been the best wake park in Thailand.

Came out all the way to the park for them to tell me it was closed, despite no communication indicating this.
