Godfather of Samut Sakhon City Pillar or Chao Pho Wichian Chot carved with bodhi wood looks like Phra Siam Thewathirat in the position of stamping hands on the palanquin which carved exquisite patterns and cover another layer of pure gold leaf It has a height of about 1 cubit and is enshrined in the Shrine of the City Pillar of Samut Sakhon. It is worshiped by the people of Samut Sakhon and nearby provinces. like the center of the mind of the people Especially fishermen and Thai people of Chinese descent. will have a lot of faith Every time before going out on a fishing boat, firecrackers must be lit as an offering to worship every time.

The sacred things of Samut Sakhon Is a devotee of the people who live in the province. There will be a festival of the goddess of the statue during the month of June every year, the parade will have both land and water from the shrine area - Mahachai, continued to Tha Chalom which is on the other side of the Tha Chin River and then returned to the City Pillar Court in the evening.

Great place to visit while going to Maeklong, there's a market right across the temple which offers a wide variety of fruits

Beautiful chinese style facing the river, very important and powerful place for local peoples. The style is very rich of icones and dragons and is totzlly different than budhist temples This is not a touristic place and you should come see it if you are looking for authentic local place (but in the respect of local peoples who are praying there). Many fishermen and rich boat company owner come here and this temple is litraly considered as the pillar of the city of Samut Sakhon.

This place got a long history dated back to king Rama the 3rd.

There was a chinese-thai man that spoke very good English sharing his knowledge at this location. This was a lot of history about this location. He may be there to help the tourist.

ได้มีโอกาสมาไหว้สักการะขอพรศาลเจ้าพ่อหลักเมืองสมุทรสาคร และไหว้ศาลหลักเมือง เนื่องในวันส่งท้ายปีเก่า ๒๕๖๖
ซึ่งสถานที่นี้ ตั้งอยู่ใกล้ ๆ กับป้อมวิเชียรโชฎก เป็นสถานที่ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ซึ่งประชาชนเคารพนับถือ และเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจของชาวประมงในจังหวัด

ศาลแห่งนี้เป็นที่ประดิษฐานของเจ้าพ่อวิเชียรโชติซึ่งแกะสลักด้วยไม้โพธิ์มี ลักษณะคล้ายองค์พระสยามเทวาธิราชอยู่ในท่าประทับยืนบนเกี้ยวซึ่งแกะสลักอย่างประณีต จากนั้นปิดทองคำเปลวบริสุทธิ์ทับไปอีกชั้นหนึ่ง ซึ่งทุกครั้งก่อนออกเรือชาวประมงจะต้องทำพิธีสักการะบูชาพร้อมกับจุดประทัด บริเวณหน้าศาลให้ดังสนั่นเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลและหากเดินไปด้านหลังศาลเจ้าจะพบกับเสาหลักเมืองสมุทรสาครซึ่งเป็นเสาหลักเมืองที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในประเทศไทย ตั้งอยู่ในซุ้มทรงจัตุรมุขยอดปรางค์บนฐานสูงขึ้นไป มีบันไดขึ้น-ลง 3 ด้าน โดยทุกปีจะการจัดงานแห่เจ้าพ่อหลักเมืองซึ่งเป็นประเพณีหนึ่งเดียวในประเทศไทยที่แห่เจ้าพ่อหลักเมือง ทางน้ำในช่วงวันขึ้น 11 ค่ำ เดือน 5 ตามปฏิทินจีนและเมื่อเดินออกมาทางด้านนอกยังสามารถเพลิดเพลินไปกับทัศนียภาพร่มรื่นหรือจะนั่งรับประทานอาหารในร้านอาหารริมน้ำพร้อมชมวิวสวย ๆ ของทะเลสมุทรสาครได้แบบอิ่มท้องและอิ่มตาในคราวเดียวกันก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกของความสุขในวันพักผ่อนที่น่าสนใจ

ศาลเจ้าพ่อหลักเมืองเป็นสถานที่ที่มีคนกราบไหว้จำนวนมากทั้งคนจังหวัดสมุทรสาครและนักท่องเที่ยว ฉันไม่อาศัยอยู่ที่นี่แต่ฉันมาหาญาติ ฉันมาที่นี่หลายรอบ เพราะว่าจุดนี่มีทั้งศาลเจ้าพ่อหลักเมืองและเสาหลักเมืองด้านหลัง

ในทุกๆปีจะมีการจัดงานลานด้านหน้าศาลเจ้าพ่อหลักเมือง ยิ่งใหญ่ มีคนมาเข้าร่วมชมมากมาย มีการแสดงจากโรงเรียนในจังหวัดสมุทรสาคร

- มีสวนสาธารณะด้านข้างทั้งขวาและซ้าย
- มีลานจอดรถที่ค่อนข้างใหญ่จอดได้ทั้งรถมอเตอร์ไซต์และรถยนต์
- ใกล้กับตลาดสดมหาชัย ช่วงเช้าคนจะเยอะมากๆ ช่วงเย็นเช่นกัน คนเยอะมากๆ เป็นจุดรวมตัวกันของเด็กๆนักเรียนหลังเลิกเรียน
- ติดกับแม่น้ำที่ฝั่งตรงข้ามเป็นท่าฉลอง มีผู้ข้ามฝั่งไปมาตลอดทั้งวัน
- เดินทางมาสะดวกเนื่องจากอยู่ในเมืองสมุทรสาครเลย
- มีจุดขึ้นรถสาธารณะใกล้ไปสามารถเดินไปได้
- มีจุดขายของ ร้านอาหารใกล้เคียงมากมาย ห้างสะดวกซื้อ
- ช่วงเย็นอากาศดี เป็นจุดที่สามารถมองเห็นพระอาทิตย์ตกได้

เป็นศาลเจ้าที่เงียบสงบ มีความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ แวะมาซื้อของแถวตลาดมหาชัยก็อย่าลืมมาสักการะไหว้เจ้าบ้านเจ้าเมืองก่อนเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคล ลมพัดตลอดด้วยว่าอยู่ริมน้ำ บรรยากาศดีมากๆ
