21 Dec 2023.

This place was recommended by my buddy son. Really a great place to visit. Very relaxing. At the entrance, there were few stalls selling foods and our friends ordered few dishes. Interestingly, the stall will prepared the food and delivered to the water fall area for people to enjoy. For elderly, there are motorcyclists that provide services to bring the elderly to the area near the water fall. The peanut they are selling taste good. Also eggs prepared in babana leaves. When the stall delivered our lunch, we had it just beside the downstream of the water fall. My friend son really enjoy the water. After had the lunch, we walked further in, to the water fall itself. Really nice view and listening to the stream of water falling down, really refreshing. Definitely a place to visit when you are around this area. This waferfall is part of Doi Inthanon National Park. If you have the ticket from the visit of Doi Inthanon, the same ticket can be used here.

A truly spectacular waterfall even in the dry season. Parking is a bit difficult (I would advise parking in a lower lot 100 meters before the main market parking area).
Only a 600 meter walk to the falls viewing area but some of it is difficult for seniors.

It was really good experience to visit here. It's one of best waterfalls I've ever been to! 5-10m walk from a car park to get to the waterfall.

This is the biggest & most beautiful waterfall I have ever visited. This waterfall is amazing. Great feeling to get here. There are a lot of people visiting here even on weekdays. You will feel so fresh and wow when you arrive there. Believe me!✌😍

This place is underrated! The waterfall is very very beautiful. To be honest, it's one of the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen in Thailand.

There're not so many parking spots so you have to park on the side of the road.

There are many food stands at the entrace. I recommend buying some food and picnic inside.

This is definitely the best waterfall in the park! The width and height of the waterfall are just incredible. And the best part is, compared to all other waterfalls in the park, this one has very little crowd so you can enjoy the view almost all by yourself. Highly recommend although it’s on a different path than the other major spots.

'Mae Ya Waterfall' (น้ำตกแม่ยะ) is located in Doi Inthanon National Park, Jomthong, Chiang Mai. The largest and highest waterfall in the national park that comprise of 30 levels in the height of 260m, arguably one of the most beautiful waterfall in Thailand

The water stream in rainy season is much more higher, the curtain waterfall will extend up to 100m, but all in all the water in dry season is much clearer and more pleasant to swim.

The place is perfect for relaxing, picnic, and camping (the tent can be rented directly with the national park, snacks and food available near the parking lot; you need to walk 600m from the parking lot to reach the waterfall), swimming can be done safely on the lower level

We were amazed of how huge the waterfall is.. literally in awe, there was not much people at the time we got there, that we able to spend time and chill by the waterfall peacefully. The floor was quite slippery on the walk way, so please beware of your own safety

The road is cracked from the accident on the way up to the waterfall, we saw it not further away from the check-point entrance fee, actually this was the second one.

It was one hell of a ride that day, the first one was somewhere on the way back from 'Pa Pong Piang' a big hole that left no room for our car to pass so we need to change the direction. so please please be careful on the ride

(Entrance Fee Thai Adult 50THB / Child 20THB, Foreigner Adult 200THB / Child 100THB, Open Daily 08.00 - 17.00)

Mae Ya Waterfall is located in Doi Inthanon National Park. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand, large and gorgeous.
Streams from Mae Ya Creek fall from the steep cliffs down through the 30 levels with the total height of 260 meters. During a rainy season, the curtain waterfall will extend up to 100 meters and then flow into the basin below. In the dry season, the amount of water may decrease, but the waterfall is quite clear. The surrounding of Mae Ya Waterfall is a shady forest.

During the dry season, you can hike and wade along the riverbed to reach the waterfall, which is a unique experience.

So quite and nice place to visit. Road is small and with a lot of turns, but very good and it worthy! I visit it on weekdays and it was no people at all, only on my way back I met 4 people. From the parking to the waterfalls 600 meters walk(5 min). Waterfall is really big and the view is amazing!

It's amazing huge waterfall nearby parking area. Interestingly, it's not so crowded as it might be a bit off from the main road. Mainly people come by minivan or car. you can go up and see waterfall or go down to look up. Clean water and well preserved!

Wonderful multi-level falls. A must see. However, the 500 meter track from the parking lot Includes climb over difficult terrain that includes uneven stone steps, up and down.

Such an amazing place!
You get a hike, swimming pools and 3 waterfalls!!! You can hike to the last waterfall on the right side of the mountain but be very careful as it's super dangerous. Enjoy!

This is absolutely one of the great spots for waterfalls. You also can camp or bring your own food to have lunch right here too. Really breathtaking
