Leelawadee Chiang Rai Restaurant

This restaurant is one of the oldest in the area and it shows in the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere is great, with live music and private seating available. The food is delicious and clean. The service is excellent, with attentive staff. There is also parking available.

I arrived at the restaurant at 6:00 pm on a Saturday and was able to get a table by the river. The view was amazing and the live music was very enjoyable. I ordered the northern dishes and it was delicious.

Delicious Northern Thai food and good cocktails at reasonable prices. The service was very, very good. And, the restaurant was nicely decorated and offered a lovely view of the river. A very nice, not over the top restaurant experience for great food and an easy, relaxed atmosphere.

among the 2 best Thai restaurants during my 6 days (and counting) in Thailand. We ordered 5 dishes and they were all great. nice river view and a great duo on stage. only one B- rating for the green mango dessert as the mango was a little stringy... perhaps our fault for ordering out of season.

Went here for dinner twice in a row because the nearby Lu Lam restaurant was insanely busy and closed at 20.00 for some reason.

The nicest dishes we had were the grilled prawns, barbecued pork neck, morning glory, ant deep-fried squid. The steamed squid was a bit dissapointing, as on the picture it seems laid out on a plate, but once served it was dumped in a bowl of soup.

Service is available quite quickly, and the manager interacts with customers in a funny way.

They also had live music, which was fairly enjoyable. Especially on the 1st day they had good artists. Later in the evening, the music becomes more boisterous and bar-like. as more people are drinking.

Would recommend the place to spend an enjoyable evening next to the river.

Astounding riverside view we’re fortunate enough to witness during our family dinner. Thank God they joined government’s domestic travel promotion project a.k.a เราเที่ยวด้วยกัน 😉. On the first day of our trip, we’re rejected to get in because there were no vacant tables left. So, we gave it the second attempt the day after, and of course, we’re successful. The local hors d’oeuvre tasted just good, except the fact that, in my opinion, Sai Oua (northern thai sausage) at Chivit Thama Da was easily the champion. Seabass tom yum also became one of our favorites.

Great Thai restaurant situated next to a river! They got many options available. We kinda picked or foods based on the pictures and they did not disappoint.

The morning glory vegetable was authentic and the fried catfish with papaya salad sauce was delicious. The glass noodles wrapped in omelette eggs were tasty too.

The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was quite calming and cozy. It's worth visiting after going to all the tourist places in Chiang Rai and you want to travel back to Chiang Mai.

Right on the river, the food is amazing. We ordered seven items and all tasted fantastic. The atmosphere was good. They have a live band but we came in the early evening so missed it. Highly recommended.

I can’t get over how awesome this place is, words cannot express how this really set the eating standard here in Chang Rai.

The food was off the charts beautiful decorated, and the taste matched to how awesome the food was. Even though it was really busy the service made sure we were taking care of from beginning to end of our meal. They were so kind, and courteous to us the light out the experience.

It was our first night in town, everyone was super hungry we just ate forgetting to even take any photos. Even my son chowed down on the food, and he is super picky.

Good live music, atmosphere was just amazing, and I can’t get over how awesome the service plus food was off the charts.

I know I don’t have any photos, but take my word from this review plus from others I have posted. When we visit again, we will be definitely eating here.

Best meal in Chiang Rai so far! Green curry chicken. The portion was huge, so split with someone unless you’re super hungry. Service was efficient and friendly. Clean facilities. Beautiful and relaxing spot along the river and the live music was quite good. Inexpensive pricing...about $6 (USD) for curry, rice, and drink.

Great food, great ambient, convenient parking . I’ll come back next time

I will have to say something what our experience to dinning here last night. Excellent traditional Thai cuisine from appetizers, soups, main courses , to dessert, each tasting different and delicious amount our over ten different dishes, the price is very reasonable and the services are on top of all. Our story continues to this morning, we will have to come back to find one of our backpack may lost here during the last night dinner, we wake up the security guard and store manager at 8:30am and found our backpack. We did not delay our trip back to Chiang Mai. What a dinning experience plus lost and found. Great business model for all your customers!

It’s a modest restaurant by the river.. you can arrive here with no reservations and be served well and fast!

The food here is fantastic: my favorite is the fried prawn cake! The staff is attentive and had a wonderful dinner here upon arriving to Chiang Rai..
