Old Tha Ta Fang Police Station

Beautiful enough. But do not drive a motorbike or a scooter to this location, especially using the road that runs alongside the Salween River. I made that mistake and I almost got stuck out there. The road is treacherous! An ATV or dirt bike could probably handle it but nothing less.

There is allegedly a road that runs through the Salween Park to Mae Sariang but it is inaccessible. I tried it and had to turn back. It was basically a hiking trail. The only way back to Mae Sariang that I know of is to take the same river road back to the Karen village and then descend the hills from there.

Interesting place for those who are looking for abandoned places. This is a former police station, maybe more border control police station that must go back to the beginning of the 20th century. Kind of fortress at a bend of the Salawin river at the end of a small path, which goes off a dirt road along the Salawin River. There is nothing around and the next settlement is a couple of kilometers down the river after a river crossing where the dirt road ends after the river washed away the banks and with it the already narrow dirt road. Anyway, a great day trip away from Mae Sariang along the Salawin River with a dirt bike or 4-wheel car. Any other bike (and driver) might face some struggles.

Such an interesting historic place.

ถ้าไปช่วงฝนไม่ตกรถ4X4วิ่งสบายๆ ตัวโรงพักเก่า สวยดูขลังดี น่าแวะมาเที่ยว เส้นทางจากแม่สามแลบวิ่งมาทางอุทยานแห่งชาติสาละวินหน่วยท่าตาฝั่งที่อยู่ริมน้ำ พอเจอหน่วย ก็ไปทางขวา วิ่งมาสักพักนึงก็เลี้ยวซ้ายอีกทีนึง อีกสัก 200-300 เมตรก็จะถึงโรงพักแล้วทางไม่ยาก แวะไปถามทางเจ้าหน้าที่ที่หน่วยอุทยานก่อนก็ได้ถ้ากลัวหลง

เป็นอีกหนึ่งหมุดหมายที่สายออฟโรดต้องไป ครับ ขลังมากครับ ทางไปจากท่าเรือแม่สามแลบไม่สูงชันมาก แต่จะคดเคี้ยวไปตามริมแม่น้ำสาละวิน เป็นดินลูกรังอัดแน่นสภาพดีครับ

บรรยากาศดีช่วงฤดูฝน อากาศเย็นสบาย มีหมอกลงสวยงามมากๆ สถานที่สวย โบราณ เงียบเชียบ มีลานกลางแจ้งสำหรับอาบน้ำ และล้างจาน ส่วนห้องน้ำไม่มีคนดูแล จึงสกปรกพอสมควร แต่ก็พอใช้ได้ สามารถกางเต็นท์พักค้างคืน และทำอาหารได้อยู่ครับ

ที่ๆมีความเป็นมา ได้มาชมสักครั้งเป็นเรื่องที่ดี

สวยงามแต่ได้แวะแป๊ปเดียวต้องมาซ้ำอีกแน่นอน

สวยงาม ตั้งอยู่ริมฝั่งแม่น้ำสาละวินในเขตประเทศไทย สร้างด้วยไม้ซุงหนาๆ ได้ยินว่าลูกกระสุนยิงไม่เข้าเลยทีเดียว บรรยากาศดูขลังทีเดียว

โรงพักเก่า ริมแม่น้ำสาละวิน ยกเลิกการใช้งานมานาน ตอนนี้กลายเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว ทางเข้ามาลำบากถ้าเป็นช่วงหน้าฝน บรรยากาศดี วิวสวย
