Fantastic! Sleeping in these floating houses is an absolute must when in Kanchanaburi.

The hosts are super friendly and there is plenty of (water) activities on-site. In the evening the owner grabbed his guitar and started playing some local songs while enjoying his whiskey..

Within 5 minutes after arrival we booked an additional night at this calming and amazing place.

This was an incredible experience. There is a boat that takes you up the river (past swimming lizards, monkeys, and bat caves), to floating cabins, with dinner and breakfast provided. So unique! I enjoyed jumping off the one end and floating down to the other end of the cabins. No mosquitos! Each room has a hammock outside. Fall asleep to the sound of flowing water.

We had a wonderful 3D2N stay at Jungle Rafts. We were a little nervous about so long without electricity but it was actually wonderful and welcomed nice break from technology.
The staff there are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the food was great (and catered very well for veggies), and you just can't beat the location.
The packaged tour we also signed up for was a fantastic 3 days insight into the area, its history, and local people. Highly recommend.
And our guide Phad was the best! Lovely guy, very knowledgeable and funny. He'll be running the place in a few years I have no doubt.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL FLOATING HOTEL SITUATED OVER THE RIVER. ROOMS ARE NICE AND CLEAN, ALTHOUGH BATHROOM IS VERY DARK ALSO DURING THE DAY, SINCE THE HOTEL DOESN'T HAVE ELECTRICITY. ALSO THE SHOWER HAS VERY POOR WATER AND VERY COLD. THE FOOD IS AMAZING AND THE LOCATION FOR DINNER, JUST ON THE RIVER AND ILLUMINATED ONLY FROM OIL LAMPS IS WONDERFUL. HOTEL NEED TO IMPROVE IN TRANSPORT SERVICE AROUND AREA, VERY EXPENSIVE, NOT CONFORTABLE AND NOT CUSTOMIZED.

Off-the-gird experience. Rooms have no electricity, hot water, air con. There’s wifi at lobby area and you can charge your phone there.
Recommend to go during Winter or Rainy season as day time can get very hot.

There’s a local village nearby which you can explore on foot for 1-2 hours. Hotel also has other activities package you can purchase additionally.

Excellent place for relaxing. Beautiful mountain and river view. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Taste of the meals is fair and don't expect too much. The cultural dancing show is one of the amazing part of this trip.

However, no power or wifi inside your room. Pretty dark after sunset. No hot water provided, better to shower in the daytime. My internet signal was 3G only, don't even think about watching Youtube or Tiktok inside the room.

The most shocking moment was a mouse inside our room during night time. It bited our plastic bag and stole our food then run away. The mouse was squeaking all the night at the roof of the house and made me feel nervous.

Overall, the price and the rates are for natural view and staffs. The room is just a shelter for you to stay inside the forest. I still recommend those who like nature for staying 1-2 nights. Worth for the price.

Love it! Had booked direct with river Kwai website to settle all logistics from Bangkok. We took the 2 days 1 night stay that included the bridge, train ride over death railway, hellfire pass, Mon dance, visit to Mon Village.. doorstep to doorstep transportations with clear communications. Pat from the resort who is also the main Mon dancer and Chris who guided us through the train ride and logistics to/fro bkk were exceptional guides/hosts. Resort is without electricity and one of their many accommodations on River Kwai that allows life jacket floating.. a wonderful experience.

Lovely hotel, wished we could have stayed longer. No power in the rooms, so make sure your devices are charged (though there is a charging station near reception). But a fantastic location.

What a cool place to stay! The rooms were nice, the food was good, the entertainment was fun, and we jumped in the river and floated down repeatedly until dark! We had such a wonderful stay here, and I would certainly stay there again!

A lovely stay. Friendly staff and great location. Had a great nights sleep as well which I wasn't expecting.

As long as you understand there is no electric and limited Internet signal and no hot water you shouldn't be disappointed. A great tranquil getaway perfect for 1-2 nights.

One of the best weekends of my life.
Me and my partner have been excited for this trip for some time and it did not disappoint.
A perfect off grid get away for the weekend with loads to do.
The service was exceptional, loads of activities, perfect location.
We were welcomed with a selection of food for dinner then chilled in the oil lamp lit accomodation. The next day we took a walk into Mon village and to the top of the mountain (pretty steep walking) and then walked the entire map we were handed.
We then went swimming in the river which was amazing, the current takes you from one end to the other so you can do endless laps and cool off. After and long day we had a massage and chilled.
On our last day we hired the kayaks and even had a guide to keep us safe.
I can not recommend enought, such an amazing weekend that felt so romantic and wonderful.
Thank you

I stayed at your property for one night originally booked for 3 nights, I was aware of your property had no power but expected that there would be some cooling fans or maybe aircons in the rooms. I found it unbelievably hot and humid at night and battled to sleep, the other thing was that when I booked a tour was told I need 2 people to take some tours or pay for 2 people and still go by myself compared to other hotels were open to 1 person taking tours I hope that helps you

Thanks

The location of this hotel is simply stunning and you won't be disappointed by the views!!

The rooms are basic but clean and there is no electricity but it all adds to the wonderful atmosphere. With the lamps lit at night it gives the place a wonderful ambience.

No electricity means no fans, air conditioning or hot water. So if you can't survive without the above or WiFi then this is not the place for you.

If you're looking for escapism then this ticks all the boxes plus more.

The food was tasty and plentiful and they were very accommodating with my vegan diet.

Stayed for 3 days, would definitely return!

I have gotten to experience a lot of places, and this one is a memory forever. The rooms, although warm, are comfortable and clean. Staff is above all expectations and v the food is amazing.

The place is magical, it’s a beautiful part of the world. The landscape here is stunning. I came here with my family for one night to disconnect and relax.

This hotel is running thanks to the Mong population leaving in the jungle so by staying here you are also supporting this very kind village.

We loved swimming in the river, visiting the Mong village, and relaxing.

When coming to this hotel you should know there is no electricity, hot water or wifi. You should lower down those kind of expectations as this is what you are coming for.

Rooms are one next to each other, I would recommend bringing earplugs and mosquito repellent with you.

The place is just unique, the mountains, the sound of the river, the environment in general makes it perfect. There's no electricity and internet signal is low, that was a good thing for me. Staff was always polite, respectful and helped us.
Also, good news for vegans, you can give them a call and they'll have everything catered for you with really good vegan food. I'd definitely come back. 100% recommended.

We booked 3 nights but stayed 1 night, decided to shift due travel companion 2 young toddlers not able to enjoy what is provided. We love the boat ride journey to our resort.

Resort was kind enough to offer their alternative accommodation with proper facilities but we didn't take it as we already booked another place.

I particularly loved this resort as it's away from the busy town. If you love nature, this is the closest you can ever experience, bring a book, get beer to chill. There is no WiFi but you can occasionally get some 4g network. Cold shower, no air conditioning room, kerosene lamp and a LED lamp is all you gets. 2 simple meals(breakfast and dinner) were provided. Sit by the river at the landing platform to enjoy the night and sky
We enjoyed the river jump, but climbing back up onto the resort platform was tough. There may be a chance you missed all the landing points and you'll be floading down the river, that's the scary part of the jump, no instructions or briefing of what jumpers are supposed and should do if that happened.

During daytime the wooden floor outside your room will be always wet as river jumpers will walk pass and that will be quite slippery. The back yard of the room served no proposed as there isn't any seat provided, else will be a plus point. The landing platform in front of our room needs some serious repair as our one of our friend got her leg injury when the bamboo give way.

We explored the Mom village, elephant park and the Cave temple behind the resort, took us 45mins with a slow walk. Insects repellant a must. Great overall experience, will consider booking again if we're back(without kids)

Highly recommended!!
- we got there a bit late and hotel was v accommodating, they waited longer so we could catch the last boat
- breakfast is simple, and dinner is delicious/plenty. kindly prepared vegetarian option for the veggos
- lovely evening cultural program (and friends said hike was nice too)
- was most worried it’d too hot to sleep at night but we spent 3 nights in early June and it was not bad at all
- had the best time floating down the river, it’s rapid so kind of scary ar first but v fun!
