Donsak Pier Surat Thani

Easy pier to reach and a logic system of boarding both by foot and by car. Price is reasonable for both Thais and foreigners. Definitely recommend to book tickets in advance, or else you might spend there all day if going by car.

Plan well to buy tickets. We travel with bikes from Malaysia to koh samui. Buying from counter is cheaper than online. During our time when we reach like 45 min before the next ferry to depart the ticket already sold out. And we need to get number to buy next ticket schedule. Be early so we dont miss to buy another ticket. Overall good experience just wanted everybody to reach earlier to buy next hour toclet ahead.

We took ferry here to Koh Samui, without booking took 1 hour to wait for space. It’s not suitable for a bike carrier on car roof.
Each person charge 120 baht, car and driver 400 baht. It spent 1.5 hours to finish the journey.
The ferry is clean and cozy.

This is Seatran pier. I arrived at Surat Thani airport at 4:00pm without booking bus + ferry tickets in advance and thought it was no way to get to Koh Samui at such late hour. However to my surprise the counters at the airport’s arrival are still open and I found myself getting the combo ticket bus + ferry easily for 500THB. The journey from the airport to Donsak Seatran Pier takes one and a half hour and the ferry journey takes another one hour and a half. I am not sure if it is crowded during the high season or peak days but I was so lucky today.
Please be advised that if you buy the tickets online the terms and conditions suggest you to check in at the counter at least one hour (Seatran or Phantip) or 30’ (Raja) before departure time.

Nice place, with food corner. One can wait for ferry without feeling uncomfortable.

Good convenient process if you book tickets online, all quick and easy. The hotel can advise you with booking or/and timetable of the ferries.

We have arrived at Donsak pier by Seatran ferry.

Very clean and many food restaurants.
Also there is a good cafe.
You can wait for ferry or bus comfortably.
I recommend Phantip to book ferry and bus because it’s safe and kind company!

Infrastructure where ferry come in is bit risky and inviting future accidents, needs improvement. Everything else is great

Hard to get to from the train because there are so many scams but once you get here it is a breeze. Waited less than 30 min for our ferry. All very straightforward

Clean and very well organized. Food court is cheap and tasty. There is even an outside place with hammocks to spend your time waiting for the ferry.

Very smoothly from here anyone can go to Samui,phangan or Koh Tao

Very beautiful dock at Seatran with few outlets for food aa well. Nice hammock setup near the gates.

The ferry was fast and had a good selection of foods and drinks aboard. Transport to the station was also no problem.
