KHAO TAO BEACH LODGE

I did not stay in the Lodge but I had food at the restaurant. As a German having German food like this directly at the beach with a stunning view is just heaven. Living in Hua Hin for over a decade never heard about this hidden gem, very glad I found it. Their famous Schnitzel (roughly the size of a bicycle wheel) is unbeatable.

Went there to eat lunch. Plenty of parking on the back. Restaurant with direct access to the beach. Menu is impressive. We tried the famous schnitzel, very good and very very large super xl :)) excellent coffees and espressos. The owner is a very nice person and manage very well his place! We ll come back for sure!

We only try to e restaurant, never stayed at the resort.

I absolutely loved this place! The rooms were fully booked, so I decided to dine at the restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. The staff and owners were incredibly accommodating and made me feel very welcome. They patiently explained the German dishes on the menu. Although I'm not a steak expert, I enjoyed the German steak I ordered, and loved it so much that I came back the next day to have it again. Unfortunately, I arrived too early, as the restaurant opens at 11am, but the owners were gracious enough to offer me coffee instead. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

We only came to have a dinner with a party of 8. I loved the place as soon as i get there, and saw the menu. The location is great as been discribed it is all thruth. Nice music, and a good beer, and wine. It is a pleasure to choose food as a Dutch guy, i liked everything. Nam lai lai as Thai sometimes say. We eat al great dishes. I been many times to Germany, and eat schnitzel, but this was farway the best. Antrecote on a Hot plate, fantastic. So i Come back. Over two years i will live in Hua hin, and this is the place when i missing Dutch food. Thanks

I had an excellent stay. It was very peaceful, relaxing, and homey. It was exactly what I was looking for - to be away from the city for a bit. The view of the beach and especially the sunrise from the balcony was just amazing. The sound of the waves was very relaxing. Too bad I was there when the kitchen was closed (Mondays and Tuesdays) but still 5 stars!! Their dogs Magnus and Sally were also great company!

This place is one of the best kept secrets close to Hua Hin.

Next to a beach which hardly gets any people compared to the busy beaches.

Decided to try some of the food, the food was great, they are mainly focused on German style, so if you like quality German good, this is a great place.

There was a small mix up with the food with them bringing one item first without the other. They brought everything else soon afterwards.

And what I liked was they owned their mistake and made me feel valued. You know people are focused on you when they do this

They also apologized for it even though there was no need

Very homely feel and they really care about their customers.

My go to place to relax!!!

The German couple who’s running the Khao Tao Beach Lodge is very pet friendly. They have two dogs on their own and you’re allowed to bring your pet. The German cuisine is very tasty and rich in variety. If you’re really hungry, try the eggs-bacon-sausage breakfast. The bacon is thin and crispy, delicious!

Dear Michael, your Lodge is a real pearl of the beach! Your grills, potato with bacon, salads and everything are unequalled and unforgetable! And the seaviews are filling every visit with the fun and joy. Thank you!

💐 Comfortable and delicious. The menu here is chockablock with European and Thai dishes. We had schnitzel and spatzle all round and they were great. Pro tip, order the mushroom sauce. The mushrooms fell in love with white wine and cognac, who knew😍.Our service here was impeccable. Looking forward to many more visits.

Food excellent. Atmosphere excellent. Always well looked after by our friends here. They cater for parties and accommodation is nice on beach front location that is pet friendly.

Fantastic food in both Thai and German style - we ordered one of each and absolutely loved it. The beach starts literally right at the porch of the restaurant. Wonderful view with peace and quiet, and lovely hosts!

It is beautiful. It is quiet. You can hear the sound of the waves in your room as you fall asleep. The host and hostess are wonderful. They cook all the food and it's delicious. The decor is authentic Thai with a nautical theme. My room has a balcony overlooking the beach . The view is spectacular . A real paradise.

I love the chill and cozy vibes at this hotel😃It’s located right next to the beach, the owners and their dogs were really friendly, and they serve delicious german sausages. The live music band on Sunday evening is pretty great as well. However, the blanket was to thin, it could be kinda cold at night😖 They charge THB200 when we check in with our dog, and if the room is not messy when we check out, they won’t charge extra😀 Overall its a pet friendly and chilling hotel, my dog had a great time there as well😃😃

Beautiful family run business, located right on a secret beach next to an amazing Buddhist temple! I've been coming to Thailand for over 14 year's and this is probably the best place I've ever stayed! Perfect for a quite peaceful rejuvenation of the body and soul! Nice food, great relaxing atmosphere, highly recommended @@10/10@@

Wonderful Place to stay for several nights! We enjoyed the calm and lonely beach, the nice cosy room with astonishing view, that big bathroom with very nice shower, and the lovely terrace.
Michael and Anja were more than kind with us and drove us everywhere and let us feel like we were home. Many thanks to you !!!
