Pran Buri Dam

Went here just to have a look , didn't expect much but too our surprise it was beautiful, very quiet , just a few locals, definitely worth going for a look if you are in Hua Hin area . There's no cafe or anything though so take stuff with you .

A very quiet and serene place. Hardly ever any people besides the view locals who come to fish 🎣 It is a great spot for paddle boarding and generally spending time on the water. There are a few (not too many) access points around the lake where you can get in. If you want to avoid waves and wind, the time is usually between sunrise and 10am but always check a reliable weather app to be sure.

The grounds up to the dam are well maintained and offer shaded places to rest. Amazing white foam from the water coming out of the spillway. Good views can be had from the building on the hill. No climb necessary for the road goes all the way.

Very interesting place to spend a full day over here with family. Please bring foods and drinks and basic outing materials along with you, so that you can enjoy to the fullest. And take the boat trip and you can feed the monkeys over there ( try to bring bananas with you).

Came here for the sunset. 😊 About 35 mins drive from the city centre. Must visit!

Gorgeous lake created by the dam. There’s even a cool island. I didn’t know about this place and just stumbled upon it. It is very peaceful and I saw only one other person while I was there. I don’t know if any swimming or other recreation is allowed. I guess I need to educate myself before writing a review, I guess! LOL

Been a little worried about the drought so took a trip up to the dam.
Really picturesque and the drive to reach it so nice.
Water shortage......no problem, dam looked well stocked.
Saw some fishermen pull out a big carp.

The motorbike ride there from DT Hua Hin is idyllic with loads of Wats and smooth, free-flowing back roads along the way.
