ธนาคารกรุงเทพ (MU)

This is the worst bank experience i have ever had. I am a student at Mahidol University. I went to bangkok bank inside Mahidol and requested to open a new account. They looked at my passport and said my visa has expired. I told them its expiry is next year(2024). They told me that if one time expired and renewed again, they need more documents. I said yes, i will give documents. They asked for driving licence and i showed the photo of my orginal foreign license card. They said they need the thai one, or hardcopy (orginal) of my driving licence. I said its in my country. To my surprise, the next document they need is house owner details. I said i live in dormitory inside campus and i will get it from dorm office. They said cannot accept that, they need me to own a house here to start a new account. How can a foreign student own a house here, i am surprised. I said i can show the student card, certificate from FGS about student status and all. But they said i need to be the owner of house to start account and they advised me to go to another bank outside university. I hope none of my international friends face this kind of behavior from staff of bank.
