Peace house bar

I wish I could add an extra star for atmosphere! From old TV turned into aquariums, to a beautiful outdoor area with wonderful fairy lights that transport you to a Rastafarian paradise, Peace House Bar was a lovely surprise on my trip to Chiang Rai. The major highlights for me were the two friendly bartenders who kindly dealt with me asking them a bunch of questions through Google Translate while I enjoyed my Singha. I'm still upset at myself for not giving them a proper goodbye 👋 Fun fact about the Thai language there isn't really an equivalent for bye so instead Jai khan krup (see you again). And, thank you to (loin or moin) I'm not sure if I caught her name correctly for the Bobby Sox song recommendation, my new favorite Green Day song 💚

The owner is incredible too. He's an awesome guy with pretty solid English, and has lived an interesting life. I loved learning more about him.

I wish I had more time to learn about the band, and how they all discovered Reggae! Which was a cultural connection I was not expecting to find in Thailand. Instead I'll cherish my memories of their exquisite playing of Bob Marley classics

Please give them more business when you are in Chiang Rai ✊🏽 & tip the band for me 👏🏽

Really cool bar with strong cocktails and good music! Prices are a bit high, but it’s totally worth it. Owner and bartenders are sooooo nice, we had an amazing night there :)

An amazing place with excellent live music and cool people! Very chilled atmosphere, great drinks and very friendly owners. The menu for the drinks is good but if you need something special just ask the bartender :)

Great place to vibe, and amazing live reggae music. Cheap drinks, and amazing staff. They also have a billiards table. A very social place

always a good time in the best reggae bar in North Thailand, or perhaps all of Thailand, who knows. Peace House bar is an institution.

This bar is awesome. Just went to Cat bar. Music was awful. Never heard music like that in my life. Music in this bar is great. The house band knows how to improvise instruments. I sit n heal my ears.

Nice, relaxed and "different" atmosphere. Sure not place for suit and tie, but for relaxed drinking with friends perfect.

Very relaxed reggae bar with live music on Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 pm.
The owner, Pi Aod, is a nice guy

Live music is awesome when they have it generally on weekends. The pool table is good but plays a bit slow. You will get smells of stuff from the back but if you like me and that's not your scene just ignore it. And you will have a good time. Also the people that frequent this place are very friendly and has helped me make a good few Thai friends in my time in chiang rai

It was the best space of my trip to Chiang Rai. It was fun to talk about a lot of things together. I'll go again on my next trip.

Best bar in Chiang Rai. Talk to the bartender for goodies, or dance to reggae every Friday night

Chill spot to get a drink. A true reggae bar. Not like many of the corporate 'reggae' bars you see around Thailand

Good Rasta bar very competent band playing every night. Beer garden smoking area !

Chilled atmosphere with friends or even alone. Live misic is great taste for everyone.
