The Hangout Cafe

The vibe was great. The offerings were uplifting.

I went to this restaurant to specifically try their pizza. I was not disappointed. I was recommend and ordered the Greek pizza. Tomato base, sliced cherry tomatoes, red onion, olives and fresh feta cheese melted onto a perfectly cooked thin crust base. I finished the whole pizza and it was filling but yet light and didn’t leave me feeling bloated or overfull.

Arrived quite early .. around 5:30pm to enjoy some downtime after a busy day and this place is nestled in a quiet soi downtown with ample parking in the soi so it was easy to get to and park.

Outdoor seating is comfortable and plenty of room to keep to yourself if that’s what you want for or there are larger tables to mingle for larger groups to socialise.

It’s quite a chilled, relaxed place to dine and is run by a nice western/ Thai family so expect an informal dining experience which was nice.

Toilets were clean and functional.

I contacted the owner prior to my visit to get permission to bring my dog and so this place rates very high for me in that regard as I go everywhere with my boys.

The bill was 490 baht for a pizza and 2 Large beers so good value for money.

If you are stopping by in lampang and want a place to relax and eat western food (Thai food was also on the menu but I haven’t tried it yet so can’t comment), want easy parking then this is a good place to stop by to eat and relax. I look forward to visiting again and trying the chicken burger and tuna salad!

this is the best place to meet other foreigners! the food is great, the drinks are top tier (and strong) and the owner is a kind person.

The hangout cafe is the heartbeat of Lampang for expats. Great food and awesome cocktails. Nick will make sure you are looked after.
